How to Dress for a Wedding as a Guest?
When choosing the right wedding guest outfit we have a few tips to from Megan Watkins, Head Stylist at SilkFred, to help:
- White is a total no-no. Doesn’t that go without saying?
- "Pick something you will wear again and again," Megan says.
- Don’t upstage the couple. By all means, be experimental, but don’t go too OTT.
- Don’t wear anything too skimpy. The couple’s grandparents may be there, remember.
- Be bright and colourful in the summer! The photographs will look all the better for it. "Go for a bold colour like sunshine yellow or ruby red," suggests Megan.
- Don’t be too casual. You’ve got to make an effort. Megan explains that you shouldn't be afraid to add flair to your outfit, "whether that be through accessories or embellishments."
- Take a pair of flats! Who can really dance all night in heels?
