When you think about it, rewearing your wedding dress makes complete sense. More often than not, it’s the most expensive garment you’ll ever buy. Your wedding day also tends to be the day you feel most beautiful - so why not relive that feeling again and again, and get your money’s worth at the same time?
Rewearing a wedding dress can be done in a number of ways, and these famous brides have really used their imagination when coming up with ways to take their celebrity wedding dresses out for another spin.
14 Celebrity Brides Who Rewore Their Iconic Wedding Dresses
From wedding anniversary dinners and garden parties, to cutting the grass and attending award ceremonies - we’re completely in awe of these celebrity brides who rewore their wedding dresses.
1. Emma Willis
Emma and Matt Willis have been married since 2008 and ten years after the cute couple said ‘I do’, they decided to renew their vows. On their 10th wedding anniversary, Emma wore the exact wedding dress she’d worn a decade earlier, and not only that, she asked her guests to do the same!
Her wedding dress was a full-length Phillipa Lepley tulle design - she looked absolutely gorgeous both then, and ten years later.
2. Fleur East
We love a wedding jumpsuit here at Hitched, and the wide legged lace jumpsuit that Fleur East wore to her wedding reception is no exception. Fleur married Marcel Badiane-Robin in Morocco in June 2019 and wore a J’Aton Couture mermaid wedding dress for the ceremony before changing into her stylish Raine and Bea jumpsuit for the evening reception.
When the couple returned to London, they had their legal wedding at a registry office, where Fleur decided to rewear her gorgeous wedding jumpsuit.
3. Amanda Holden
To mark the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, presenter and talent show judge Amanda Holden decided to rewear her Elie Saab wedding dress. The gown featured sequin detailing and low back detail - more than suitable for a royal wedding audience member!
Amanda sat on her sofa with a glass of champagne and a pair of wedding trainers to watch the wedding of the year take place. But that wasn’t the only time she dusted off her dress - she rewore it again to mow her lawn during the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020.
4. Holly Willoughby
Similarly to fellow presenter Amanda Holden, Holly Willoughby also decided to rewear her wedding dress to honour the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Holly designed her wedding dress herself and had her vision brought to life by a seamstress pal who made it for her. If we'd spent all that time designing our own wedding dress, we’d want to rewear it too!
5. Victoria Beckham
Who could ever forget Victoria Beckham’s iconic celebrity wedding dress? She wore the corset wedding dress when she married footballer David Beckham back in 1999. Almost a decade later, Victoria rewore her wedding dress for a photoshoot with British Vogue’s Decade of Elegance feature.
Victoria isn’t the only celebrity who wore a Vera Wang wedding dress, but as far as we know, she’s the only one to rewear one.
6. Priyanka Chopra
Another celebrity who was itching to rewear their wedding dress for a Vogue collaboration was Priyanka Chopra. The Quantico actress famously wore three iconic wedding dresses for her 2018 wedding to Nick Jonas - but one clearly meant more to her than the others.
Priyanka chose the hand-embroidered lace wedding dress from Ralph Lauren to wear for her cover shoot for Vogue Netherlands’ Love & Weddings issue. The designer wedding dress reportedly took more than 1,800 hours to make, so it was more than worthy of a second wear.
7. Abbey Clancy
What better way to celebrate your 9th wedding anniversary than rewearing your wedding dress whilst waiting for a home cooked meal? Abbey Clancy did just that when her and husband Peter Crouch celebrated nine years of marriage.
Though when we say home cooked, what we mean is she and Peter hired a private chef to cook a romantic meal for them at their home. Sharing pictures of her rewearing her wedding dress on social media, Abbey captioned the post, “Waiting for my dinner like…”
8. Queen Consort Camilla
Queen Consort Camilla rewore her Robinson Valentine civil ceremony wedding dress a mere two years after her and King Charles wed. The couple hosted their civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall where the Queen Consort wore a short wedding dress designed by Robinson Valentine.
It had a scalloped trim and a modest silhouette. And she’s not the only royal who values recycling outfits. Duchess Kate is often seen rewearing outfits from time to time - though we haven’t spotted her royal wedding dress at any events lately. We’re keeping our eyes peeled for that one!
9. Keira Knightly
Interestingly, when Keira Knightly rewore her wedding dress, it was at her actual wedding! Before the big day, she was pictured wearing a super chic Chanel wedding dress at the pre-Baftas party in 2008.
She wore the short wedding dress for a second time when she married James Righton in 2013, and then rewore the dress for a third time that same year to the SeriousFun Gala. We’re all about getting your money’s worth - respect Keira!
10. Troian Bellisario
Troian Bellisario married fellow actor Patrick J. Adams in December 2016 and wore a timeless Cortana two-part wedding dress. Originally, the ball gown skirt was styled with a three quarter length top and veil on Troian's wedding day. In 2020, she re-wore the skirt from her wedding dress ensemble with a cami top to the Amazon Studios Golden Globes after party.
11. Emma Stone
Style icon and actress Emma Stone wore a vintage-style knee-length Louis Vuitton dress to the 2022 Met Gala. The short white dress had a feathered trip and tulle illusion straps, along with a plunging neckline. Unbeknown to many, that dress was in fact an upcycled version of the wedding reception dress she wore when she married TV writer Dace McCary in September 2020.
12. Gwen Stefani
Though Gwen Stefani is now happily married to co-judge Blake Shelton, we’ll never forget the iconic Christian Dior pink and white ombre wedding dress she wore when she married Gavin Rossdale in 2002. Some 15 years after the couple tied the knot, Gwen was promoting her 2017 Christmas album and had Christian Siriano design a replica of her pink wedding dress from all those years ago.
13. Alex Borstein
When Alex Borstein married Jackson Douglas in 1999, we bet she didn’t think she’d be rewearing her silver wedding dress to the Emmys almost 20 years later!
Though the couple are now divorced, the Marvelous Mrs Maisel actress rewore her wedding dress to the 2018 Emmys where she won an award for outstanding supporting actress. Speaking to Glamour, she said, “The marriage didn’t last, but the dress did, and I wanted to give it a new life, so now it’s my Emmy dress. That’s the truth.”
14. Kate Bosworth
Okay, so technically Kate Bosworth didn’t rewear her actual wedding dress, but hear us out. When she married Michael Polish in 2013, Kate worked with Oscar de la Renta to construct a gorgeous strapless wedding gown.
Five years later, she worked with the wedding dress designer again to construct a replica of her original wedding dress, but this time in gold - and it was breath-taking. Kate wore the gold wedding dress to the 2018 ‘Heavenly Bodies’ Met Gala, complete with an jewel-encrusted veil and a 16 foot train.
