We've teamed up with the fabulous Elektra Fence to be our Hitched Drag-ony Aunt. As Elektra plans her own wedding, she's also on hand to help you with all your wedding planning problems. This month she helps a bride who is not sure about walking in her new wedding heels. Aunty Elektra is on hand with her best advice...

Dear Aunty Elektra,

What are your best tips for walking in heels? I don't wear heels much but I want to on my wedding day!

I’m really nervous about my feet hurting, or worse, falling over when I walk down the aisle. Please help me feel confident in them!

Love,

Bambi Bride

Dear Bambi Bride,

I am a heel lover, a heel wearer, a heel advocate so you’ve come to the right Drag-ony Aunt!

Listen, heels can be uncomfortable. I’m not going to lie to you but it’s worth it! They elongate your body and are the perfect finishing touch to any outfit.

What you need to do is this: imagine you’re the only one on the catwalk and you're strutting it out, always putting your heel down first and delicately placing the ball of your foot and your toes down second.

You need to say “Heeeeeel, toe, heeeeel, toe…I look amazing, I am a supermodel queen of the world!” in your head as you walk.

Trust me on this, you’ll be walking like Naomi Campbell in no time! And if that doesn’t work for you, get yourself some block-heeled wedding shoes hunny - anyone can walk in those!

Kiss kiss,

Elektra Fence
