Can You Wear Ivory Wedding Shoes With a White Wedding Dress?

Freya Rose, founder of bridal shoe brand Freya Rose explains that it is important to understand that there are many tones of both white and ivory when it comes to bridal gowns and accessories.

"Paler shades of ivory will beautifully compliment whiter gowns, however, if you were to pair ivory wedding shoes with a diamond white gown, your shoes could come off looking yellow or cream," Freya says.

There’s a common misconception that bridal dresses are ‘white’ when in fact they’re a tone of ivory and most often the varying shades will tone beautifully - ivory wedding shoes we’d recommend would be the Martina Midi Ivory," (which we've included above).

Can You Wear White Wedding Shoes With an Ivory Wedding Dress?

If it's the wedding dress that is ivory, avoid wearing shoes that are whiter than the dress, or you may risk your ivory gown appearing dirty.

What Colour Shoes to Wear With an Ivory Wedding Dress?

A nude wedding shoe will work well if you want a colour that's a little bit different from ivory, but doesn't stand out too much. You could also match your wedding dress with an ivory wedding shoe from the edit above.

"Ivory shoes have become very trendy within bridal style. Brides are keeping in mind the ‘re-wearability' of their wedding heels and are seeking out styles they can wear long after their big day. When choosing your bridal shoes think about the lifespan of your wedding shoes - how can you envision yourself re-wearing your bridal shoes? You can even dye your ivory shoes after wear, giving your beloved beauties a new lease of life," suggests Freya.
