When it comes to your wedding venue, if you’re dreaming of saying ‘I do’ at a glamorous, privately owned country house then either Colshaw Hall or Merrydale Manor could be ‘the one’.
Both venues are owned and run by the Irlam family, and style and luxury are at the forefront.

We start with Colshaw Hall. It is located in Over Peover and was built for the Peel family in 1903.
33 acres will be exclusively yours on your wedding day, and set in the heart of the estate is the Peel Suite.

Here at Hitched we are totally obsessed with this function space. It seats between 50 and 180 guests, making it perfect for any size guest list, and light floods the room through floor-to-ceiling windows.
You’ll love celebrating your vows with a divine dinner made up of dishes like Tian of Scottish Salmon, Lemon and Rosemary Roasted Poussin and Rich Chocolate Marquis.
As a couple, you’ll be able to work closely with the team of talented chefs to create something that works for you.
Once your day draws to a close, the seven en-suite bedrooms in the Main Hall will be the perfect place for you and your overnight guests to lay your heads.
What’s more, you’ll be able to enjoy a delicious breakfast together in the Orangery the next morning. Every detail has been thought out!

The same attention to detail is present at Merrydale Manor, the larger of the two venues. It sits adjacent to Colshaw and is the perfect venue for couples looking to host an opulent and unforgettable celebration in the countryside.
From the moment you make your way along the sweeping driveway that leads you through parkland to the manor, you’ll be blown away by all this venue has to offer.

There are beautiful manicured gardens and a lake perfect as a backdrop for your wedding photographs, and the brand new Merrydale Suite will play host to your evening of celebrations.
This stunning courtyard function room has views across the lake and walled gardens and is the perfect place to enjoy your wedding breakfast before dancing the night away.
As with Colshaw Hall, there is a range of boutique-style accommodation on-site at Merrydale. You won’t have to go far to rest your head!
Each room is individually decorated and offers walk-in showers, Egyptian cotton towels and a delicious breakfast the following morning.
