We’ve got to hand it to Cornwall, it’s got some pretty incredible wedding venues nestled along its coast and within its breathtaking countryside. From manor houses and grand hotels, to venues on the quirky side.
If the latter piques your interest, you’ve come to the right place. We’ve spent a good few hours scouring the county to pick out 10 small and totally unique gems in Cornwall, and we’re pretty impressed with what we’ve found.
From a working winery to a mini manor house and a country studio, there’s plenty of small wedding venues in Cornwall below to please even the quirkiest of couples.

1. Knightor Winery – Landrake
Set just above St Austell Bay, Knightor Winery makes for a memorable wedding setting. Couples are treated to exclusive use of the traditional stone barn, three acres of grounds, pond and farmhouse accommodation.
You can say ‘I do’ beneath the licensed arbour in the grounds overlooking the pond or inside the vaulted threshing barn which has space for up to 90 daytime guests and 180 evening guests. For your reception, you can dine in the barn or pitch a stretch tent on the courtyard and enjoy informal street food, a hog roast or BBQ, plus some of Knightor’s own wine, of course!
2. Treseren – Trerice
If a country house appeals but you don’t fancy the grandeur and tradition that often comes with it, check out Treseren. Situated just five miles from the beach, this idyllic venue is surrounded by mature trees and secret garden paths, perfect for stealing moments together after your vows.
You can invite up to 22 guests or host an elopement or micro wedding here and you’re invited to make a weekend of the celebrations. Your first night will be a supper hosted by owners Emma and Paul, followed by a freshly prepared breakfast on your wedding morning. You can then marry in the wedding room or outside in the gardens before enjoying more food and drink and another night’s stay with up to 12 guests.
3. Camel Studio – Bodmin
Overlooking Cornwall’s Camel Valley, Camel Studio is a wedding venue that prides itself on its bespoke approach to weddings. The unique studio sits within miles of open countryside and boasts view of Cornwall’s rolling hills and can accommodate up to 50 for an intimate and individual wedding.
You can enjoy Champagne and canapés on the lawn as you and your guests partake in relaxed garden games after a ceremony in the magnificent Sperry tent. Finally, you can enjoy casual dining on trestle tables in the light-filled studio before kicking back in the luxury on-site accommodation.
4. Nancarrow – Truro
Tucked away in a tranquil, south-facing valley is this 100-acre organic family farm. Nancarrow consists of five lovingly converted barns including the licensed Rusty Barn and the inviting Oak Barn – where you’ll be sitting down to your wedding breakfast!
The farm can accommodate 18 guests overnight in nine luxurious en suite bedrooms. The Old Mill offers a spectacular open plan living space for guests staying to gather before or after your nuptials and the Bridal Suite is the perfect place to prepare for your big day.

5. Gorgeous Weddings Cornwall – Trerice
With a capacity of just 50, Gorgeous Weddings Cornwall's stunning country house offers two- and three-day exclusive use hire, allowing you to host an intimate weekend celebration. Set on the historic Colan Barton Estate, just a stone’s throw from the majestic North coast, you’ll feel a million miles from reality here.
The Apple Barn is one of six licensed spaces on the estate and has a contemporary yet rustic feel with a neutral colour palette that’s guaranteed to complement any wedding theme. After your nuptials you can continue the celebrations in the Apple Barn, outside in the grounds or inside the grade II listed manor house.
6. Cornish Tipi Weddings – Bodmin
If you’re dreaming of a magical woodland wedding then look no further than Cornish Tipi Weddings. Here you can say ‘I do’ within the fully licensed pavilion surrounded by foxgloves and wild roses and with just the sounds of a trickling stream to accompany you.
How the rest of the day goes is totally up to you and with plenty of surrounding woodlands and a lake, there’s certainly lots to explore and capture on camera! You can invite as few guests as you like here, giving you the opportunity to keep things intimate and once the celebrations are over, you can curl up under the stars in your very own romantic tipi.

7. The Cow Shed – Rame
The Cow Shed at Freathy Farmhouse is a laidback, rustic dream venue consisting of a fairy lit barn, old milking parlour and 18th century farmhouse. The team here specialise in intimate and relaxed weddings and have a maximum capacity of just 80.
Both the Cow Shed and the Old Milking Parlour are licensed for civil ceremonies, so you can choose the space you feel most excited about or choose one for the ceremony and the other for your wedding breakfast. There are three charmingly rustic, individually designed rooms on-site, perfect for extending your getaway at Freathy Farmhouse.
8. Lower Barns – Bosue
Secluded, intimate and designed especially for elopements and small weddings of up to 20, Lower Barns is a great small and unusual wedding venue choice in Cornwall. Situated between the Lost Garden of Heligan and the south Cornish coast, Lower Barns is the perfect bolthole for hideaway weddings.
This boutique guest house offers seven uniquely designed suites, some with private gardens, others with hot tubs, one with a sauna and one with its very own gypsy caravan! There’s space for 18 staying on-site and a further two in a B&B a mile and a half away, meaning you can make a weekend of your stay in this breathtaking part of Cornwall.
9. Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens – Penzance
These tropical and sub-tropical gardens offer a slice of wedding paradise in Cornwall. Overlooking St Michael's Mount and Mount's Bay, Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens has a choice of licensed ceremony venues and offers couples the chance to marry outdoors and amongst some of the most inspiring pieces of artwork by internationally renowned artists. Whether you choose the Skyspace venue, the Garden Pergoda or the Gallery, you'll be getting hitched in one of the county's most unique licensed spots. After your vows, you can enjoy a laidback dining experience for up to 70 at Tremenheere Kitchen. With the help of your own wedding coordinator, you'll be able to relax and enjoy the freshest local produce surrounded by décor and special touches of your choosing, all brought together by the Tremenheere team.
10. Stennack Farm – Praze
Situated just three miles from Hayle's golden beaches, within acres of country fields is Stennack Farm, a brand new wedding venue specialising in intimate weddings. The farmhouse can accommodate 6-20 guests for a small wedding, with space for every guest to stay the night in the charming, country style accommodation.
You can marry here outside on the lawn under the shade of the Pixie Hut or indoors within The Wedding Barn or The Old Cow Barn. The Wedding Barn can accommodate up to 150 for receptions and so this is a great venue choice if you fancy keeping your nuptials small but going big for your celebrations!
