Bride Threatens to “Punch Someone” After Hen-Do Fail and Train Carriage Wedding on Don’t Tell The Bride

And we definitely don't blame her.

A bride threatened to “punch someone” after her groom planned a hen-do in an empty club (and a wedding ceremony on a train carriage) on the latest episode of Don’t Tell The Bride.

Latrice from Clacton-on-Sea and her fiancé, 23-year-old Richard, were childhood sweethearts who rekindled their romance three years ago.

The pair got engaged last year when “self-conscious” Richard finally plucked up the courage to propose.

The couple are the latest in a long string of love birds to appear on Don’t Tell The Bride, with Richard given three weeks to plan a wedding on £13,000.

When Latrice moves back in with her mum for three weeks before the wedding, Richard gets to work organising the hen-do. But things don’t exactly go to plan…

Granted, he does treat the bridal party to veils and sashes, but he also sends them to the local pub – a place that Latrice openly hates.

She says: “He knows not to send me to anywhere local because he knows I hate the local life round here.”

By the time Latrice pulls up in her hometown – while Richard is out in the much busier Chelmsford – she is fuming.

She proclaims: “I’m not getting out the f****** car.

“Does he literally want us to start getting this stuff off, because I will go home. I’m not getting out the taxi, something needs to happen.

“I’m going to start going crazy. I’m p****d off. How can he be having a really good time and I’m out here doing this?”

The bridesmaids ring Richard to demand he find an alternative venue, and Richard uses the last of his budget to get them into a club in Colchester.

The group arrive at the club, only to find it is completely empty, and a furious Latrice threatens to “punch someone”.

Things go from bad to worse when Richard spends £1,900 on a ceremony in a train carriage and an empty £1,500 patch of land for the reception.

This squashes Latrice’s dreams of a country estate wedding. She says: “My perfect wedding would be showing up at a big, giant country estate with a long drive and lakes out the back for photos.

“I want to feel like a celebrity getting married, I want to feel like it’s all about me, and everyone has to look at me and talk about me all day long.” Awkward.

Richard does organise a marquee, catering, a bar and a DJ and manages to haggle the cost of flowers down from £750 to £450 – but this leaves him with only £600 to buy a wedding dress.

Shame Latrice had earlier declared she likes “expensive things”, then.

Richard also runs out of money for hair and makeup and fails to book a photographer. At least the bridesmaids like their bridesmaid dresses…
