From McNugget Trucks to Chic London Hotels, See Our Favourite 2023 Celebrity Weddings

Before we move on to talking about the iconic celebrity weddings coming up in 2024, we wanted to spend some time reflecting on the gorgeous celebrity weddings of 2023. 

This year has seen some show-stopping celebrity weddings with some of the most unique and elaborate details out there.

Our Favourite Celebrity Weddings of 2023

You'll find singers, actresses, reality TV stars, rappers and more in this edit of awesome celebrity weddings which took place this year, and wait until you hear some of the details.

We're talking designer celebrity wedding dresses, music videos and even a McDonald's food truck. 

Prepare to be amazed as we take a very brief walk down memory lane and look back at the coolest celebrity weddings of 2023.

1. Jamie Laing & Sophie Habboo

Former Made in Chelsea alumni Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo announced their engagement just before Christmas last year and kept us all in the loop with their wedding plans (and some wedding planning mistakes) through their hilarious Nearlyweds podcast. 

But the time finally came for them to say 'I do' this year - and they decided to do it twice.

The couple tied the knot officially and legally at a London registry office in April this year, before jetting off to Marbella with all of their friends and family for the main event. 

Sophie and Jamie were joined by a number of celebrities at both weddings, and arguably held one of the biggest and most lavish events of the year.

2. Bradley Dack & Olivia Attwood

Olivia Attwood got engaged to her footballer boyfriend Bradley Dack in October 2019 whilst on holiday. The proposal was so romantic, set on a candlelit beach in the celebrity hot-spot of Dubai. Their original plan was to tie the knot in 2020, but the pandemic had other ideas.

After postponing their wedding until 2022, the couple then announced further delays due to their busy schedules, and eventually tied the knot in London this year. The couple said their vows in a London wedding ceremony in June this year and the planning was well documented in their series Olivia Meets Her Match.

Olivia wore a gorgeous Galia Lahav wedding dress with dramatic veil and Britney-esque choker, but more on that in our report of Olivia and Bradley's wedding day. 

3. Sofia Richie & Elliot Grainge

Dubbed by many as 'the royal wedding of 2023' were the nuptials between Lionel Richie's daughter, Sofia Richie, and music executive Elliot Grainge.

The couple wed in the South of France in a wedding weekend celebration hosted mainly at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, and was attended by many a famous face.

Celebrity wedding guests included Cameron Diaz, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie (obvs!), and the Madden brothers to name just a few.

4. Taylor Ward & Riyad Mahrez

Taylor Ward, (daughter of The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward) married footballer Riyad Mahrez in the first leg of their nuptials in September this year.

The couple had a wedding ceremony at the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in September this year, which was the second wedding celebration they've had so far.

However, in true Kravis style, it's reported that the couple plan to have a third wedding abroad in 2024. Why not, hey?

5. Olly Murs & Amelia Tank

Olly Murs proposed to girlfriend Amelia Tank whilst on a walk in June 2022. He shared the romantic proposal on Instagram with the simple caption, "04.06.2022 💍 Amelia Tank 🤍"

The couple married in a lavish ceremony in July this year, but what we love most is that rather than doing a one day do, they decided to host an entire wedding weekend, hosting Murs-Fest for all their friends and family. The event was complete with rides, food trucks and even a performance from Craig David. 

Speaking about the event on Instagram, Olly said: "M͎u͎r͎s͎-F͎e͎s͎t͎ should be something we do every year 🤪 what we saying 🤩🍟🎡🍩🎵," followed by another post of their insanely genius food van idea, which read, "Not everyday you marry the 3 things you love the most!! McNuggets, McFries and McMurs (in that order) 🤪🤣👌🏻 Thanks @mcdonaldsuk for the McNugget truck for our wedding weekend! Was Insane!" 

What a pair of legends. 

6. Chrishell Stause & G-Flip

Perhaps the wedding none of us saw coming, but also the one we were most excited about this year was Selling Sunset's Chrishell Stause and singer G-Flip.

The couple went public with their relationship when Chrishell confirmed she was dating G on the Selling Sunset reunion in 2022 and have been loved up ever since.

We didn't expect wedding bells so soon, but we're not mad about it at all! Posting the video of their nuptials and a snippet of G-Flip's new music video, Chrishell wrote, "Love doesn't always go as planned… Sometimes it's immeasurably better," which literally had us crying.

7. Georgia May Foote & Kris Evans

Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote literally was on cloud nine when her musician boyfriend Kris Evans proposed - or at least, that’s where she checked into on her Instagram engagement announcement post.

The couple got engaged whilst on a New Year’s holiday in Gran Canaria in December 2021 and tied the knot this year in a gorgeous country wedding.

Their wedding pictures showcased the couple celebrating with friends and family, along with a very sweet picture of groom Kris sobbing at the end of the aisle. Just too cute!
