Made In Chelsea star Lucy Watson announced her engagement to her boyfriend of five years, James Dunmore.

Lucy shared a beautiful image of the couple on a romantic sunset cruise in Greece on Instagram on Tuesday, with the caption, "Here's to forever" and a ring emoji.

She also shared a series of Instagram stories earlier in the day of them on their private boat sailing on crystal blue waters and toasting the sunset with Champagne, before declaring it the "best day ever".

Her Instagram was flooded with well-wishers sending their best to the newly-engaged pair, and Lucy shared a little scroll of some of the messages, adding, "Thank you all for the sweet messages and love."

Among the celebrities saying congratulations was her younger sister and former MIC co-star Tiffany Watson who was buzzing with the news, commenting, "SO HAPPY. Congratulations both of you."

Ex-MIC star Nicola Hughes added, "I've been ecstatic all day. SO HAPPY."

Lucy, 30, and James, 31, have been enjoying a holiday at Emelisse Hotel Fiskardo on the island of Kefalonia.

They have been dating since 2015 after meeting on the E4 series, where Lucy was known for her previous relationships with Spencer Matthes, Andy Jordan and Jamie Laing.

Together they left the show a year later and moved in together in August 2017.

The choice of Kefalonia for the proposal holds special meaning for the couple. The animal lovers recently rescued their cat Leo from an animal shelter on the island.

Vegan influencer Lucy spoke recently in an interview about not feeling any pressure to get married or have kids. She said, "I don't know when, but I know James will probably be the person I end up with, unless something drastic happens.

"I'm settled now for the foreseeable. Unlike my friends, I don't have any set goals for marriage and kids. They put a lot of pressure on themselves to reach those goals, but I don't. When it feels right for both of us, then we will, but we'll have to see."

Congratulations on your engagement, Lucy and James!
