Congratulations are in order for Princess Beatrice, who has announced her engagement to boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Beatrice and property tycoon Edoardo have been dating for 11 months and, according to an official announcement from Buckingham Palace, are set to tie the knot next year.
The couple revealed the happy news in an official statement, which reads: ‘We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.
‘We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to actually be married.
‘We share so many similar interests and values, and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness.’
The Duke and Duchess of York revealed their happiness at the news in the statement, saying that they’re thrilled for the pair: ‘We are thrilled that Beatrice and Edoardo have got engaged, having watched their relationship develop with pride.
‘We are the lucky parents of a wonderful daughter who has found her love and companion in a completely devoted friend and loyal young man. We sent them every good wish for a wonderful family future.’
Princess Eugenie was also quick to congratulate her big sister and soon-to-be brother-in-law, taking to Instagram to post a sweet snap taken by herself of the happy couple showing off Beatrice’s incredible diamond engagement ring, adding: ‘Beabea – wow! I’m so happy for you my dearest big sissy and dear Edo.
‘It’s been a long time coming and you two are meant to be.’

Princess Beatrice, 31, began dating Italian property developer Edoardo, 34, in October last year, although the pair are believed to have known each other for years. The official statement reveals that the couple got engaged during a weekend away in Italy earlier this month, and that they plan to marry in 2020.
No other details of the wedding have been released, with the statement adding that ‘further details will be announced in due course.’
Who’s excited for another royal wedding then?!
