Are Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Dating?
Both Selena Gomez and her boyfriend Benny Blanco are no strangers to the spotlight, and it seems as though neither is their relationship!
Just weeks after rumours began to circulate about a potential romance, in December 2023 the celebrity power couple made their hard launch on Instagram, sending devoted fans into a frenzy.
The Disney channel star posted black and white selfie showing herself laying on lover Benny Blanco’s chest.
She followed this with a string of comments gushing over her relationship with the record producer, with one saying: “He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. The end.”
Selena also commented “Facts” on an Instagram post by PopFactions centred around her and Benny’s rumoured relationship, so we are taking this as solid confirmation that these two are an item!
Shortly after, Selena showed off her custom B wrap ring crafted by LA jeweller Jacquie Aiche, and fans instantly knew who the B on the 14k yellow gold diamond sparkler stood for.
That same month, Benny Blanco broke his silence, sharing his first snap of girlfriend Selena Gomez on Instagram.
The photo, also posted in December 2023, captures Gomez’s back, as the couple explore an art gallery. We love a wholesome day date!
Since then, both Selena and Benny certainly haven’t held back on displaying their love for each other, posting regular selfies together on Instagram, as well as being spotted on several PDA-filled dates.
How Did Selena Gomez & Benny Blanco Meet?
You may be wondering, if Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have both been in the music industry for so many years, how have they never crossed paths before? Well, it turns out they actually have!
Selena and Benny first collaborated together back in 2015 when Selena was working on her second studio album Revival.
They must have worked well together, as the duo actually ended up joining forces yet again in 2019, collaborating on the electronic Reggaeton song I Can’t Get Enough with Tainy and J Balvin.
Fast forward to 2023, Selena and Benny collaborated for a third time, with Benny co-producing Selena’s summer hit Single Soon.
The rumours of their relationship began in October that year, when Blanco was spotted attending Selena’s company Rare Beauty’s Impact Fund Benefit, an event supporting young mental health.
The following month saw Selena promoting Benny’s new book on her Instagram story, and it’s fair to say that the shout out sparked suspicion amongst fans.

At the end of January, the two were spotted engaging in PDA whilst queueing for a ride at Disneyland. A very fitting date choice for the ex-Disney Channel star!
On the 22nd February, in an interview with Zane Lowe, Selena gushed over her new relationship, saying: “It’s just really important to meet someone who respects you {...} I’d have to say overall it’s the safest that I feel, and it’s been really lovely, and I’ve only grown through it, so it’s awesome.”

Who is Selena Gomez?
Selena Gomez is a 31 year old American singer, actress, producer, and businesswoman.
Selena is well known for her starring role in Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place, and of course her singing career, particularly prevalent within her most recent chart-topping album Rare.
Continuing the ‘Rare’ title, in 2020 Selena launched her very own beauty brand ‘Rare Beauty’, a cosmetics company with a mission to promote inclusivity and mental health initiatives.
Throughout her creative career, pop sensation Selena Gomez has developed a lengthy list of accolades, including a Cannes Film Festival Award, an American Music Award, a Billboard Music Award and two MTV Video Music Awards.
In 2016, she was named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the music category, and again in 2020 in its All-Star Alumni category.
Her journey within the acting world began at the age of just 10, when she starred on the children’s television series Barney and Friends.
The rising star turned into a teen idol in 2007 when she landed the leading role of Alex Russo in the Disney Channel sitcom Wizards of Waverly Place, after her recurring role in Hannah Montana as pop star Mikayla.

The music industry veteran is the recipient of countless accolades, including the Hal David Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the iHeartRadio Producer of the Year Award.
Benny Blanco’s journey first began during his childhood, when he began producing hip-hop instrumentals from his bedroom, and experimented with recording his own vocals on top.
It seems as though his musical gift was even prominent at a very young age!
When he was just six years old, he was already listening to cassette tapes, and was heavily influenced by Nas’ ‘The World Is Ours’ and All-4-One’s ‘I Swear’.
This initial exposure to music in 1994 is what inspired him to begin experimenting with music, which would eventually lead him to become one of the most influential names in the recording industry.
After rapidly capturing the attention of Columbia Records following his experiments with beat making and boombox recording, Benny Blanco was signed to production company Kasz Money Productions.
It’s fair to say that he excelled: he went on to co-produce and co-write a multitude of chart topping singles in the late 2000s.
In 2007, Benny Blanco collaborated with Baltimore rappers Spank Rock to release the party music album Spank Rock and Benny Blanco Are...Bangers & Cash.
