Aries: March 21 - April 19

Aries are the first sign of the zodiac and are know for being fiery, determined, impulsive and energetic. As a partner, they are warm, loveable and give as good as they get.

Friendly and open, Aries can get on with most star signs, however, they get on particularly well with their fellow fire elements - Sagittarius and Leo. Dating them is not for the faint-hearted though as they can be pretty needy if they aren't getting as much physical affection as they like. Leo and Sagittarius can keep up with their passion, although there's potential for clashes as they're all very independent signs.

If you want a partner that can keep you on an even-keel, Aries and Libra are very good at balancing each other out. Cancer and Capricorn are ones to avoid as their conservative natures and carefully planned lives can bore Aries.

With a reputation for being sensual, Taureans are known as good lovers and nearly every sign is attracted to their chilled out, hedonistic side. However, it's the earth-earth and earth-water combinations that have the edge in relationship compatibility. Taurus should look to fellow earth signs Virgo and Capricorn, and water signs Cancer and Pisces for a lasting love - with Cancerians being particularly well suited.

They feel very deeply and, as such, get on very well with grounded and stable signs that share their same logical approach to life. Earth signs Capricorn and Taurus won't rock the boat and will complement their rational energy. Virgos tend to prefer a settled, secure relationship versus dating and want a sign that has the same mission.

Pisces is a good match too as they are very intuitive and love helping others too - Virgo can cover the practical side, while Pisces works on the emotional healing.

Fellow air signs Gemini and Libra get on very well with Aquarius on a cerebral and emotional level. They get off on each other's intellect and understand each other's needs very well. Gemini's love of travel and exploring works particularly well with Aquarius' big-picture view of the world.

Pisces are romantic and they tend to understand people, meaning that a good relationship can be hugely rewarding. Like-minded water signs of Cancer and Scorpio get on well with Pisces and can be very grounding when the emotions run too high. The opposite zodiac sign of Virgo is also compatible with Pisces: they are both kind and supportive and feel deeply.

Fickle, extroverted Gemini can come across as far too cold for Pisces. They won't know where they stand and can end up unintentionally hurt, while Geminis can find Pisces too in their head. As a Pisces is the most intuitive of the zodiac signs, they should be able to trust their own judgement when it comes to partners and knowing what they need and can offer.
