Catherine Parry has officially relaunched as GAIA and we’re here for their new high-fashion focus.
Started back in 2013, the Catherine Parry label was created by multi award-winning bridal boutique owners Maria and Simon Ryan and was an instant hit with brides and retailers alike. Over the years the duo’s designs have become increasingly fashion-forward and, as of 2020, Maria and Simon have decided to rebrand as GAIA to reflect their new, more modern design ethos.
Their latest collection, named Riviera after the region that inspired the designs, is a masterclass in modern bridal dressing and will appeal to any bride wanting a dress that expresses her inner confidence and sophisticated sense of style.
Sound like you? Check out our top five fashion picks from GAIA’s incredible collection.
1. Sorrento
Calling all romantic brides! The Sorrento gown is the dress for you. Soft polka-dot tulle, a sweetheart bodice and seriously on-trend balloon sleeves make this a classic gown with a thoroughly modern feel.
Delicate, sheer lace detail at the waist gives a universally flattering silhouette while the low back and sheer plunge neckline add just the right amount of sexiness to the look.
2. Monaco
Monaco is a crepe gown with exquisite beading that adorns the bodice and trails down to the hips in a seriously flattering design that’s both romantic and sexy.
The fitted skirt features a stunning chapel-length illusion train with beaded lace and glitter tulle. This is our top pick for glamorous brides searching for a dress that will look just as magnificent on the dance floor as it will at the altar.
3. Cassis
Fit and flare deigns like Cassis have been popular for years and its no wonder when they do such an amazing job of creating a stunning, hourglass silhouette.
The lace detailing on the bodice gives a hint of classic bridal styling while the sheer panels put this gown firmly in 2020. Just as impressive from the back as the front (very important when standing at the altar), this gown features button detailing leading down to the bottom of the chapel-length, horsehair hem. Plus, it comes in both ivory and light pink – now all you need to do is decide on a shade!
4. Marseille
Off-the-shoulder and Bardot styles have been hugely popular in the last year and we love this asymmetric take on the trend. The Marseille gown features a ruffled neckline that sweeps across the shoulders, giving us serious destination wedding glamour vibes.
While this crepe gown is all about the cut and fabric, allowing for sophisticated and elegant simplicity, the delicate lace waistband gives just enough detail. We could totally see this gown at a French chateau wedding or Tuscan vineyard celebration.
5. Capri
If pretty and ethereal is the style you’re going for, you’ll love Capri. This dreamy, A-line gown is made from luxurious crepe and features a floral lace bodice with shimmering details and delicate beaded straps.
A beaded belt accentuates the waist while the soft, flowing skirt adds a romantic feel. We’d definitely team this beauty with some sparkling heels and diamond studs.
