I am Lucy, I have a Graphic design and illustration degree BA hons since 2017. I was inspired to set up a wedding illustration service Lines by Lucy after my recent experience as a guest who attended the wedding of the parents of the two little boys which me and my mum had both looked after since they were babies. At their wedding they had an illustrator who was starting out but sadly didn’t have time to do an illustration of me and my mum which made me sad but never the less I loved the concept and she inspired me the next day to illustrate us in my style.

Live illustration is a fun, unique, and interactive form of entertainment for weddings and events, providing guests with stylish wedding momentos to take home and a special keepsake to remember your big day. During my recent guest wedding experience personally I found the dress-up PhotoBooth provided quite outdated and the quality repetitive to what you can capture on a smartphone. I strive to make the process as straightforward as possible. I will arrive at the venue 30-45 minutes early to set up and prepare for the day’s activities. I can bring my own table, chair and white cloth for the table.As guests begin to arrive, they can visit my pop-up stand, where I will take a quick photograph to sketch from. Working from photographs allows guests to continue enjoying the party without needing to stay in one place. Understanding that the wedding day will be incredibly busy for the bride and groom, I will wait for a moment when you both have a spare minute to capture your photograph and start illustrating.

I work on quality A5 Winsor & Newton Bleedproof Marker paper 75g/m2- 20Ib with Winsor & Newton Promarker pens and black fine liner.

At the end of the event, guests can return to the display stand to collect their illustrations, which will be placed in protective sleeves for safe keeping. Not everybody wants this and I can provide frames of your choice to match your wedding theme which will be an added cost. This service not only adds a touch of personalised charm to your wedding but also ensures that everyone leaves with a memorable and unique memento.
