It's awfully tempting to come up here and roast Ken just a little bit. For a while there, it seemed like he was the eternal bachelor, that maybe getting married wasn't for him. He didn't want to change his lifestyle, maybe mess up his immaculate apartment a little bit. Even that &quotmess&quot on the coffee table was in neat little piles…

And teasing him is even more tempting since all his siblings got married back in the last millennium. Except, that to do so would really miss the point of who Ken Horii is.

I've known Ken since I was 15 and I have often observed that while others have leaped, he has always looked first. He read the signs, surveyed the landscape, saw the signals, he's in the know.

All the people here who have known him for a long time, ask yourself this, &quotHow many times have you seen a shocked expression on his face?&quot You only need one hand to count right? It's because he knew before you did.

I have often had the impression over the years that Ken is exactly where he wants to be and that was not by accident. I'm not saying that he's planned every moment of his life. And I'm not saying that it's because of his patience because that implies he just waits around for something to happen and that's not it either. But it seems to me that Ken understands that everything in life has its moment, like those neat little piles on his coffee table. To the Groom!
