Good afternoon ladies, gentlemen, boys &amp girls,

for those of you who don't know me, i am Darren, jason's older brother and best man today for this very special occasion. Let me tell you now that this isn't the first time today that ive had to rise from a warm seat with a piece of paper in my hand.

I would like to start of by thanking one person first who hasn't really had much to do today besides have their hair done, put a little lippy on , pout abit and look pretty So thank you very much to our usher today paul. Thank you paul.

I would also like to thank our two lovely bridesmaids today kim &amp lara who i think you will all agree with me look absolutely gorgeous today only out shone of cause by our bride today lynsey, who looks stunning.

Now i would like to ask jason to put his hand on top of lynseys hand for a minute, and i will tell you all why i have asked jason to do that in a minute.

Anyway moving on to my next bit:-

The other week jason &amp lynsey came to me with a bit of a problem with the seating arrangements for todays reception meal.

So i suggested the following seating plan for them:

those of you who have brought the most expensive presents at front and so on from there so those of you at back if you can hear me jason &amp lynsey would like to thank you for the teaspoon sets.

Now when jason first asked me to be best man i was very honored so i did a bit of research on the internet for best mans duties which are as follows :-

1 making sure he has a good nights sleep before the big day.
Well he slept like a baby, wet the bed &amp woke up crying for his mom.

2 make sure his face &amp hair are o.k make the best of a bad situation

3 not losing the rings during the ceremony. Which i didn't !

4 seeing that any angry ex-girlfriends are kept away – thankfully the recent out break of foot &amp mouth has taken care of that one for me

Now going back to when i asked jason to put his hand on top lynseys hand earlier.

Well i hope you enjoyed having the upper hand over lynsey for a minute bro because that will the last time you ever will from now on

Now we all know that as best man your supposed say something really embarrassing about the groom.

Well the only thing i could think of saying was that when me, jason, donna &amp dawn were young children living at home with mom &amp dad. We would quite often sit down together in front of the telly and watch a film together. On this particular occasion we were all watching hunch back of notre dame and you know how at the end when quasimodo falls from the tower to his death.Well we all turn to at jason and guess what, he had tears running down his little cheeks mind you though he was only about 4yrs old at the time.

Well before we all toast the happy couple jason and Lynsey i would like to let you all know that my full name is

“Darren what would you like to drink mate”!

So if any of you see me at the bar later i do insist that you use my full name please!
