Best Man Speech

Hello everyone. My name is Joe. Bob and Nic asked me to be the best man today, and unfortunately for you I have to give a speech.

First off I would like to thank the brides parents, the bridesmaids, and groomsmen for all the help they have been in putting this together. Everything came out fantastic and ceremony was great. And did everyone notice how Stunning Nic looks today? And Bob… Well he just looks stunned.

Anyway, in preparing for today I was worried about how long this speech should be but I've been told that it should only last as long as the groom takes to perform his martial duties on his wedding night….… and I think I've over run that already so thank you all for coming, I will see you around. . . . . . . . . . .

No seriously though, Bob is a great friend to have. He is funny, smart, modest, and in the years I have known him, I've never heard anyone question his intelligence. Actually, I don't recall anyone mentioning it. He and I have been through a lot together. Such as jobs, roommates, sickness, auto repairs, and now marriage. It was to my benefit having him as a friend throughout everything. Thank you Bob for all the good times we have had. I know there are more good times ahead too, only now it will be as married men. It's an honor to be your best man today.

Some words of advice for each of you. Bob, remember the Japanese word “Judo” (which is the art of yielding), or better known around here as “yes dear”. And Nic try not to be angry with Bob, us husbands are like computers… hard to figure out and not enough memory.

With that said, I hope your love will be modern enough to get you through each day, and old fashioned enough to last for a lifetime. Now if we can raise our glasses for a toast to a great couple and an amazing wedding, Mr. & Mrs. Bob and Nic T.
