Good evening everyone, I must congratulate everyone on a great rehearsal!! For those who don't know me, I'm Jesse, and I'm Errols best man. You know, When Errol asked me to be his best man, I thought WHY ME ?? What did I do wrong..but after careful consideration and Errols shotgun.. I decided go ahead with it.
As Bestman, Errol has asked me to do a little chore for him, now that he
is ready to marry and settle down. So to avoid any embarrassing misunderstandings in the future, he has asked me to see if there are any ladies out there who may still have the key to his house. And if they Could you please return them to HIM now!
I'd like to start off with a little background of myself and Errol. I first met Errol in high school. I knew we were gonna be friends in an instant, because we had so much in common,
INTELLIGENCE. I had a B average..Errol was VERY smart.
He seemed to be an EXPERT on every subject in the known universe !!
He still has INITIATIVE – Errol was ALWAYS the first to stir up something..and still is.
STRONGWILLED..He could argue with a fencepost and out talk a loud radio !!
HELPFUL.He loved to help others …so he can say .NOW YOU OWE ME !
He was a fast runner in high school too, heck the disciplinarian could NEVER catch him !! But, even though we made it through school " WITHOUT CHARGES THAT COULD STICK " we stuck together,
Even though he got me suspended UM teen times in high school !!
Even though, WE almost joined the military when he knew HE couldn't get in!!
Even though he just stood by and let me have all those kids !!
But hey, I guess you forgive and E V E N T U A L L Y forget… !!
All kidding aside, When I asked Errol, what he was looking for in
marriage, he said love, happiness and eventually a family. When I asked Ann the same question, she replied.. an intelligent, loving, handsome man but she'd happily settle for Errol !!
No…I would like to thank Errol for choosing me to be his best man ..and thank him for his friendship over the years that I have known him. I would also like to thank Ann ….for letting Errol choose me ..to be his best man !! Thank you Ann !!
In closing, I'd like everyone to raise their glasses and toast the bride and groom. Soon to be…Mr and Mrs Dufrene, Best wishes and best of luck, may you have all your hearts desires and may all your dreams come true.
