For those of you that don't know me, my name is Kevin, best man for the day and also Sean's younger brother, it's taken a long time for it to happen but Sean has finally conceded that I am actually the best man!

Firstly I'd like to thank everyone for coming today, it's amazing to see how far some people have travelled for a free meal and a free glass of wine!

Personally I wish you'd all stayed at home and made my job a little less nerve wrecking!

But anyway, thanks again for coming and helping make Sean and Ciara's wedding such a special day and remember Marriage is not just a word but a sentence, A Life Sentence! I'm sure you'll all agree that the bridesmaids look gorgeous, even more so Ciara, you look stunning.

Being a younger brother to Sean has its pros and cons, he has always been someone to look up to, someone to go to for advice or if I ever had any trouble, although the one time I did need him we both ended up getting knocked out and Claire had to fight Willie Evans for us so he's not really the best person to go to!

Now as you all probably know the job of the best man is to tell embarrassing stories about the groom, but to be honest I don't want to be responsible for the world's shortest marriage so I'll avoid them like the plague!

Sean was born on the 29th of December 1981 in the Royal Maternity Hospital weighing 8 lb 7 oz. I tried to look for any exciting things that happened the day Sean was born but nothing significant happened although they do refer to that date in the Maternity ward as Ugly baby Tuesday.

Theres a saying in our house that goes “don't ask Google, just ask Sean” because anyone that knows Sean knows that he is a genius, he knows everything and is of course never wrong.  Well this became obvious from a young age in Sean's 1st year of primary school. As my mum went to collect him from school the teacher called her aside to explain that she had to give Sean something to eat as he hadn't had any breakfast that morning. My mummy as you can imagine was scundered, especially as she could remember feeding all her kids before leaving the house.

The more the teacher insisted it was OK and that she understood, the angrier my mum got especially as Sean was adamant he didn't have breakfast that morning. My ma didn't know who to hit 1st. In the end she asked Sean what he had to eat that morning to which he replied;

“All I had was sausage, bacon and toast! But I didn't have breakfast” of course meaning cereal.

When Sean left school he got a job selling mobile phones for ‘Fone Zone’ which is now closed down, he moved from there to Safeway's supermarket which is now also closed down. From there he went to Curley's supermarket, which is……closed down and now he is working for the Ulster bank which is………..can anyone else see a pattern here? I'd like to ask that if you fancy moving jobs again can you apply for a job working for Man City?

Sean is a keen footballer and plays for New Santos and has done for 10 seasons now, he has played in defense, midfield and even had stint upfront but has never really found a position he is comfortable in. I just hope Ciara finds a position he's good at later 😉

Sean and Ciara both work for the Ulster Bank and 1st went out in May 2008 on a staff night out. I was lucky enough to be there for the 1st kiss. There had been a lot of speculation as to whether they would go with each other or not but after a lot of himing and hahing they finally kissed and everyone cheered, everyone was so happy, everyone except me because it meant I had to pay for my taxi home alone.

But they have been together ever since and im sure you'll all agree they make a lovely couple and have done a great job putting this day together. Anyone who is married knows the stress that comes with organsing a wedding and Sean and Ciara are no exception. In fact one of the hardest things for them was organising the seating arrangements. But after a long drawn out process they decided to arrange them in order of the wedding presents they received. So __________________ they wanted to thank you for the TV and _________________ they said cheers for the bottle opener.

Well before I wrap it up I'd just like to say that over the years Sean has been the best anybody could hope for in a brother, he's also one of my best mates and I've always been able to go to him for support in times of need so I'd just like to thank him for that, Cheers bro, and also say that Ciara, our whole family loves you to bits and couldn't ask for a better sister in-law so welcome to the family.

So on that note ..… I would like everyone to raise a glass….

And toast to the new Mr and Mrs Carson…….To Sean and Ciara (Cheers)
