I was busy working full-time and going to school up until the week of the speech, so I got all of my jokes from this site, except for the two about kidnapping brides in the middle ages; I made that one up myself. The standing ovation joke was a hit (even though the poses/instructions seem odd). I was getting compliments all night afterwards.

Hello, everyone! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Nate, Tim's youngest brother, and also the best man.
To start off, I'd like to thank everyone for coming out to support Tim and Abby. It's been a wonderful time so far, and we still have Tim's dancing to look forward to!
While writing this, I got curious about how the best man tradition originated. According to legend, back in the Middle Ages when the bride's family disapproved of the groom, the groom would choose his “best man” to kidnap the bride. Given how gorgeous you look Abby, and given how Tim looks *cringe*, I think Tim would need a few best men to kidnap her.
But really, I can't help but talk about such a great guy who is kindhearted, funny, thoughtful, and hard working… But that's enough about me.
You know Tim's come a long way when his child aspirations for what he wanted to be when he grew up were either a school bus driver, a tree or a piece of rice.
But in all seriousness, Tim, you've been my role model since the beginning. To this day, I can't say I'd be who I am without you as my brother.
Growing up we siblings all tended to fight with each other; except for Tim. Tim was always the mediator, bringing a calming presence to the rest of us.
God has just spoiled my family and me with a man of integrity, a man after God's own heart, who I'm proud to call my brother.
And we're all so excited that he met you, Abby. As most of you already know, Abby has an incredible knack for lighting up any room she walks into. The first time I met Abby I knew Tim needed to kidnap this girl.. I mean, marry.
But aside from her charming personality and good looks, and despite the trials and hardship she has faced, deep down, Abby truly loves the Lord.
Tim and Abby, you guys are a perfect match. I don't think God was holding back when he brought you two together.
Now, before I finish, I'd like to ask a favor: Gentleman, could you please stand up and clasp your hands together, and could the Ladies also stand up and put your palms together above your head.
