Hello ladies and Gentlemen and welcome to Glenn and Jannet's wedding celebration thanks to everyone for attending today and thanks for your speeches both to Glenn and Layla.

Glenn thinks his a professional speech writer since he done the best man speech at my wedding and has been saying how great his speech was compared to what he has heard since so it's always nice to hear from the master of speeches first,

 Anyway I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them both on which has been so far a perfect day, probably up until they gave me the mic for this speech.

I would like to say I have particularly enjoyed my free meal and drink from Glenn today, it is probably the first and most likely the last free drink I will get from Glenn because if anyone who doesn't know Glenn very well, to say he is a bit tight would be understatement,

To evaluate on this I would like to mention my stag do in Amsterdam. It was the first night there and after a few drinks we decided to order food in a bar we was drinking in,

Glenn decided not to order food because he thought it was a bit pricey but instead ate my father in laws dinner when it came out without him knowing! This was the first time Glenn and my father in law had met.

I said to Harry after the weekend had finished, just out of interest if you were to describe Glenn in one word what would it be! He just shouted TIGHT!!!!!

It looks like Glenn has put all his tightness behind him today as he has put on a special day for Janette, which is a true testament to how much he loves her…

I would like to welcome the parents of both Glenn and Janette, Firstly to Paul and Val Wallace, who I know all too well from my time growing up with Glenn!  Nice kilt Paul are you are true Scotsman today or have you kept yourself warm…..???   

 It only took me about 5 years to actually understand Pauls strong Scottish accent and I got the feeling he wasn't keen on me at first, I soon realised that when I knocked the door for Glenn to come out and play, It wasn't ‘hi Richard I will just get Glenn but more like ‘Hi Richard please don't come round here again..… But I think he grew to like me in the end…

Ezzadine Janette's father I haven't previously met until today but have heard nothing but great things about you from Glenn, he is attending all the way from sunny Tunisia to witness this great day!!

Me and Glenn first met through the local football team that we played for which was under 10s 3c football club!!! So we have known each other around 18 years now and went to school with each other, I don't know what first drew me to Glenn, but I think it was Glenn's lovely blond bowl head haircut that his mom used to style for him. Anyway we have probably be been best friends since.

Glenn is probably the kindest friend I have and he would do anything for anyone, When my dad was ill he was there for me, taking me to the hospital and he was always someone I can rely on both when times were tough and of cause the good times.

He has progressed well in the workplace too, he decided to go back to college for two years to achieve this and now works in Project Management, his progression has been fully deserved.

His choices of cars on the other hand leads a lot to be desired, do any of you remember the Peugeot 306 that Glenn Brought second hand??? I know I sure do!!!!

Soon after buying the car discovered that the electric windows didn't work so he couldn't put the windows down no matter what,

 So one scorching hot summer day we all decided to take trip down to Welsbourne market to get out in the sun and make the most of the fine weather that day, obviously a lot of other people had the same idea and we eventually got stuck in traffic on route.

It soon became apparent Glenn decided against getting the windows repaired this summer when we all started to sweat in the car and me, Jen, Glenn and My wife gradually started to cook while sitting in traffic!!

 I questioned Glenn's Logic for not getting the windows fixed and he said £40 to get windows fixed or £40 to put towards some Golf Clubs, Glenn chose the Golf clubs and we had to open the doors to fan ourselves every time the traffic came to a halt….

I got to say it was probably not the best day out I have had with Glenn, by the time we got there I think we all had sun stroke and had to quickly find a drinks stand to rehydrate ourselves!!

On the way home Glenn decided he had enough of being hot in the car and decided to force the window down with his hands, what he didn't think about was the unpredictable UK weather and   it decides to rain on the way home and instead of being boiling hot we were soaking wet!! I think Glenn's comment was there is no pleasing you moaning lot……

So one of my roles as the best man was to organise the stag do, when this was first mentioned to me I was really excited about the prospect of organising a weekend away with the lads, but actually organising this proved quite a challenge for me, I am not the most organised at the best of times and I think Glenn along with some of the other lads thought our transfers would consist of walking from Alicante airport and our accommodation would be sleeping on Benidorm beach..

The actual stag weekend itself was quite the weekend and I would like to just give you a taster of what went on in the lovely resort of Benidorm….

Shortly after arriving it soon became apparent that some members of the stag party had a strange fetish for the Moroccan Men of Benidorm, Mentioning no names here of cause

Glenn really doesn't look good in heels, stick to wearing football boots mate

Also Glenn, you really didn't look good doing press-ups in the bar wearing a flowery dress, as much as you think you did!!!

Dave, those Baileys shots you're actually meant to drink them not put the shot in your eye

And finally I and Ryan Cope are not in a relationship as much as the pictures may show this, just wanted to clear that up!! It was just a bad angle wasn't it mate!!

Before Jen Glenn never really had many girlfriends, I ran into Glenn's first ever Girlfriend from school not long ago, and she actually bats for the other team now… Kind shows the effect he has on people…

Glenn and Janette first met around about 7 years ago at work, they both worked for national grid luckily for Janette they don't sit that close to each other anymore, I think 24hours of Glenn is a bit much for anyone,

 But I believe it was actually love at first sight, with Glenn gazing across the office at Jen before plucking up the courage to speak to her. Anyone who has been Glenn and Janette's company would instantly know they are made for each other and make a lovely couple.

Janette is a kind and generous person with a warm personality who is also a good personal friend to my wife and me, doesn't she look truly amazing today ladies and Gentleman, I am sure you all agree…

I think she brings the best out of a Glenn as person and is defiantly a better man since they have been together,

 He now is way more domesticated and can actually iron his own shirts now, Glenn couldn't come out clubbing if his mom was on holiday as he couldn't iron his shirts, so I used to have to go round and do it for him.   I think Glenn is marrying the person he loves as well as his true best friend in this world and I think they have a bright future together with hopefully the little ones to follow shortly after this.
