Ladies and Gentlemen:
Firstly, on behalf of the bridesmaids and best boy I'd like to thank Ian for his kind words. I think we can all agree that they have done an absolutely amazing job today. – How about a round of applause?
Secondly I'd like to say how lovely Nadine looks today in such a fabulous dress. Ian you scrubbed up nicely too today, its surprising what a flannel and a bar of soap can do.
However I think it's a bit of a cheek that you copied my outfit.

Now is time for me to tell you all, a little more about Ian.

I would like to talk today about Ian's past………ambitions.
You see Ian has for many years fancied himself as a bit of a soldier. He has shown off his skills in this area on a number of occasions. The first occasion was a good 15 years ago, he showed off his camping skills. We climbed the biggest peek around….Dent (for those of you from away that the small hill behind us). We trekked for 3 whole hours before setting up camp on the summit. All was going well until Ian pulled out the biggest……..Rambo knife you have ever seen. He then proceeded to cut down the grass in front of the tent. Unfortunately the guide rope got in the way and we ended up with the tent flat on the floor behind us.
The second time he decided to show off his defence skills. It was a good 10 years later and we were doing the c-to-c bike ride. We were pushing the bikes up a hill when an extremely angry ram attacked us. Ian immediately sprung into action picked up his bike hid behind it and his 2 mates forming a human shield.
The third time was even more recent in fact just 6 weeks ago on his stag do. This time he showed his navigation skills. On the Sunday morning at around 0800 hours Ian left the hotel to get a paper from the shop round the corner. At 0930 hours he returned back after getting totally lost and having to get a taxi back to the hotel.

I think you will agree though that he has made up for these errors by finding an excellent wife who looks absolutely stunning today, and Ian well he just looks stunned.

Now I just have a few cards to read out.…

I would also like to take this opportunity to toast Mick and Rose and also Jack and Dot who have helped make today such a day to remember.
So if you could all raise your glasses……….To the parents..…
