“I have to say a big, big thank you to the internet” – Bride Speech by Jo

So now it’s my turn.

I know so far we have done a lot of thank yous but I have a couple of my own:

K for all her support, listening to my ideas, coming to the meetings, and diffusing any potential bridezilla moments.

My best friend, L, for being on the other end of the phone, her wonderful reading and allowing me one or two bridezilla moments.

Dad and A for their generosity, calmness and for completing their lists.

And T and J, not only for all the effort and help they have given for today, but for their support since the day that I met them.

From the moment I met T, leaning on the hoover, I’ve only understood about 50% of what he’s said, but what I have understood has been welcoming to me and very supportive of us both.

J, I couldn’t have asked for a better mother-in-law. She knows Neil better than I do and has been a great sounding board. Meeting Neil has created two amazing life moments for me, today and becoming a mum. Of course, I’ve missed my mum and no one could possibly replace her, but, J has been there taking me out for lunch and looking after Reubs. You’ve both been amazing and wonderful and I wholeheartedly thank you.

Finally, I have to say a big, big thank you to the internet, not only for most of the decorative items you see around you but mostly for my husband!

Mr S, you are my husband, my best friend, and my world. In three short years, you have given me everything I never thought I would have or deserved. I’ve read that men are like stars and like stars there is only one who can make your dreams come true, if this is the case then Neil is my one star and I can’t wait for the rest of our dreams to come true.

You’ve frustrated me and you’ve made me cry but you make me laugh, you make me laugh so hard that snot comes out of my nose, my tummy hurts, and I can’t breathe! Loving you has made me a better and nicer person.

You have your moments, your partiality for gossip, and your love for hobos, you’re kind and caring, so loving and thoughtful, you cope with me and my amazing moods. Every day I am reminded of how lucky I am to have you and that I don’t want to ever have to be without you.

You are my rock, my everything, forever. So please if you could all raise your glasses to my husband, Neil.
