I attach my speech. Obvious personal comments could not be used for others speeches. But my speech was a great success because I used your specimen speeches for the basic structure. I would recommend your site to any nervous father-of-the-bride.

The circumstances here are that I had to deliver the "Father Of The Bride" speech for my sister in law and her new husband. My father in law died unexpectedly only a few months before the wedding. My sister in law is Scottish (from Arbroath) and her new husband is English (from Herts.)The wedding happened to fall on St Andrew's day. I used you site for inspiration and hope that what I came up with may be of help to the next guy.Cheers Great Site Brian Jeffrey

Dear Hitched. Thanks for the help I received from your site in preparing "Dad's Speech" The day went marvellously, except that the Best Man had a panic attack and failed to do his bit - (he should have checked out your web site too!) I'm not terribly used to Public speaking but my bit seemed to go down well. The best tribute coming from a lady who said "Your speech was brilliant! and so funny - Did you know you were funny?"
