good afternoon ladies and gentlemen for those of you that don't know me i am paul the father of what you must agree is the most beautiful bride. I am not going to keep you to long as i know that the best man is absolutely dyeing to give you his speech ! i would like to take this opportunity firstly to say a big thank you to you all for coming today and making it a very special day for Laura and Neil , so thank you all . i would also like to say a massive thank you to all the people who have made today possible, terry and Tina for the lovely cake , Joan and terry for the lovely flowers , Nicola for all the room and table decorations , Stuart and elain for the photographer and my mum and dad for helping to bring it all together and being the sanity in amidst all of the madness of all the arrangements, thank you to you all.

well i have been privileged to be able to watch Laura grow from a noisy little bundle of fun into the beautiful young lady you see today , i have also been privileged to watch Laura and Neil's relationship develop into the couple they are today,iv watched them set up a home together , and become loving parents to little mia page, making me a granddad, thanks for that one !!! thou i wouldn't change that for the world !!

i would like to take this opportunity to officially welcome neil into our family to say to neil that you already doing a top job of taking care off Laura and mia so keep it up mate.
apparently its tradition for the father of the bride to offer some worldly advise and thoughts about marriage, ha this will be good coming from me divorced so here goes . Laura, the definition of a good wife is to help your husband with the ironing !! neil remember that a man is incomplete until he has a wife , then he is finished !! and Neil, remember never go to sleep with an argument hanging over you,be a man stay awake and fight to the bitter end ! your gonna loose anyway so you might aswell get it over and done with !! seriously thou love and respect each other never be afraid to say your sorry and you wont go far wrong . so with that if you would all be upstanding and raise your glasses and join me in a toast to the bride and groom , laura and neil
