You know I was really very nervous about standing up here and speaking.
But the kind people from Hitchin helped me with a few lines,
and having snorted them I feel absolutely fine.

So get ready for the finest wedding speech ever!
But you will have to wait until I finished mine.

Marrying Lindsay is beyond my wildest dreams.
She knows me better than anyone and still loves me.
I never dared to imagine to marry someone as intelligent, gorgeous, witty, kind,
and all together extraordinary.
Doesn't she look beautiful today?

I'd like to thank Norman for his kind words in his speech.
I hope that, as Lindsay's husband I can live up to the image he painted of me.
Or failing that, continue to keep pulling the wool over his eyes.

When Norman saw the guest list, he was delighted
since he felt sure most of you wouldn't make the effort to turn up.
But you did. And seeing so many of you here.
I think its to his credit, or more to his crediteurs, that he could still speak.

Ladies and Gentleman.

The biggest thank you is to all of you.
Thank you for choosing to share this day with us.
Lindsay and I are delighted and touched to see so many of you here.
