Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls….

Conventional speeches are boring I can't think of much that is worse So I've decided to flout convention And deliver this speech in verse All you guests have so kindly gathered To witness the events of today And I find myself feeling nervous About making a speech in this way

My task is now to express our thanks On behalf of myself and my wife And the biggest thanks are due to you all For sharing this day in our life

First mention goes to Amy, My newly appointed wife, Today we joined together, A commitment we made for life.

Well Amy knows all too well, How far my romance goes, We spent our first date, Sat in the car park of Tesco's!

But words cannot express, How beautiful you look, I can't wait until tonight, So we can have a little…DANCE!!

To me Amy is beautiful, She's understanding, gentle and smart, With a lovely sweet caring nature, That truly touches my heart.

She looks so stunning, I'm sure you will all agree, Please raise your glass , To my beautiful wife…Amy.

Next to be thanked Are my Mum and Dad, Who have stuck by my side, Through all the good and the bad. Thank you again, For bringing me up like you have, To be honest and hard-working, And not too much of a chav! I am filled with gratitude, For all that you've done, It must be very pleasing, To have the perfect Son!!

I must thank my new parents-in-law, Holly and John, For bringing up Amy, To be second to none. A thank you for letting me, Marry your daughter, I promise I will love, And forever support her!

And then there are the bridesmaids, Gemma, Nikki, Marie and Nat, You all look tremendously beautiful, I can't say much more than that.

Thank you all for helping Amy, Get ready for her big day, I know she really appreciates, All your help today.

Anthony is my best man, He has helped me with my nerve's, A massively big thank you, He definitely deserves.

Me and Anthony are brothers, Although you may never have guessed, We do have the same parents, But with ginger hair he was blessed.

But seriously brother, I am proud to have you by my side, On this special of occasions, When I am marrying my bride. Now to introduce my ushers, Who are three of my best mates, 1 of them is married, The other 2 needs dates!!

Paul, thanks for being here today, You have helped me with the pressure, To call you one of my best mates, Is an absolute pleasure.

I would like to thank Lee, He showed you all to your seat, Unfortunately though, He sometimes goes out with odd shoes on his feet!!

Lastly there is Neil, Who we call Captain Slow, Thanks for all your help today, During our bridal show.

I would like to end this verse, With a mention to people not here, Although they cannot share our day, In our hearts we hold them dear.

I hope they are looking down on us, The memories will never end, Please raise your glass up to heaven, For absent family and friends.

Once again I thank you all, for joining us today, It means so much to Amy and myslef, Words just cannot say, But without further a do, and whilst I check this is all real, Please do us the honour, have a drink and enjoy your meal.
