Alright, I am nervous.. (puts away stack of paper) When I first sat down to write my speech I thought I should probably think of some jokes, but it suddenly struck me that Janice always tells me that although I find myself funny, that doesn't necessarily mean that anyone else does. Given this, I've opted to go easy on the humor side of things. There are however a couple of attempts at jokes so please laugh!

Someone once said that a good speech has a good beginning and a good ending, and a great speech keeps both of those close together!! So tonight I promise to keep this speech as short as possible.

Ladies and Gentleman on behalf of my wife and I, we would like to thank you all for coming and celebrating our special day with us. It really wouldn't be the same without all of you, it would be a lot cheaper but it wouldn't be the same, so thank you.

Thank you all for your very generous gifts, cash, cash, and cash and also a special thanks to those of you who have given cheques. No, we really are grateful for those, especially as we'll be using the details on the cheques to set up direct debits paying our bills for years to come. Who said that identity fraud is a bad idea?

Some of you have travelled a long, long way to come and celebrate our wedding today and we appreciate it very much (my stunningly beautiful sister all the way from Singapore with her family).

Unfortunately, it's not been possible to have everyone we love here with us today, but we know they're here with us in spirit and they're not only in our thoughts today, but more importantly they're with us in our hearts. *Let us observe a few moments in silence

To the Groomsmen, Johans, Jeff, and my best man Chris for whom I have known since childhood. We would like to thank you for doing absolutely nothing today!! Only joking guys. Thanks for all your help today getting everyone where they were supposed to be and thanks for the speech Chris.

To the bridesmaids, you all look absolutely amazing today. You've all done a brilliant job in helping make this wedding special, but also being the best friends and sister Janice could possible ask for. Also thank you so much for organizing a perfect Wedding, I know an awful lot of effort went into organizing it and I know Janice had a great time – even though she wasn't able to drink! Also thank you for the beautiful readings and speeches earlier.

To the Wedding coordinator, Bro. Ronnie, thank you for sacrificing your precious time with your family, you have helped us with preparations, sometimes into the late night. Thank you Sister Aubrey for letting your husband help us with the preparations!  To the Wedding Caterer, Tita Celia, thank you for the great discount and I know it is hard to give in to our request for the freebies from one of the best Caterers in Manila but you have chosen to give us your best! Thank you! If anyone needs a caterer, you can get Tita Celia's number later.

To the ushers – Teacher Leizel, Teacher Maria, Teacher KC and Teacher Je-Ann.  We couldn't ask for better service, you did a great job at making sure everyone was in line and followed instructions, taking down attendance and that the day proceeded as planned. Ladies and Gentlemen, a toast for the Ushers

Parents: Firstly I would like to say a special thank you to Janice's parents and family for accepting me in to their family and for bringing up such a lovely daughter and thank you all for making me feel so welcome, you have made it very easy for me to fit in and also a big thank you for all your help in putting this special day together, we couldn't have done it without you. I hope I can be everything you want from a son-in-law, brother-in-law and more, I won't let you down.  I also can't let today go by without thanking my Father & Mother for bringing me into the world and for all the love and support you had for me with over the years. You have made me what I am today and I know that has to make Janice happy because she agreed to marry me, so, I hope I have made you both proud and I love you both dearly.  So Ladies and Gentlemen would you please join me in standing to raise a toast to Family- “Mabuhay ang Salinas at Ovejera!”

Now onto my gorgeous new wife. Janice – you look absolutely stunning today. I want everyone here to know how lucky I feel to be here right now. Janice is beautiful, intelligent, funny, caring – the list is endless. They say you don't marry someone you can live with – you marry the person who you can't live without…… and I think you'll agree that sums us up perfectly.

But seriously though, Janice, I love you in so many ways and for so many reasons, because you know me and understand me like no one else ever could, because you believe in my dreams and care about my feelings, because you make me laugh so hard and smile so often, because you have a way of bringing out the very best in me, but mostly because you're my very best friend, my soul mate. I love you with all my heart. Thank you for marrying me and making me the happiest man alive and for loving me as much as I love you. I know this is the start of many, many happy years together. So Ladies and Gentlemen, please be upstanding, for the most important toast I'm ever likely to make, to my Wife, my bride and my absolute world, to Janice. I love you Janice.
