John, thanks for those kind words .…
On an occasion such as this, it is only right that I start with a few "thank you's".
Now Rossco and I counted up all the potential toasting points in this speech and the one I decided not to do, and thought … there was a lot and we might all get a bit tidley .… So I'll toast to all near the end …
On behalf of my wife and I, we would both like to thank you all for coming here today and sharing our special day with us.
Especially those who have traveled some distance to be here today.
And also don't forget those family and friends who could not make it or have past away,
That they are here today, but only in our hearts .… let us remember them on this occassion.
Now I would like you all to take 30 secs to look in front of you and to the centre of the table at the beautiful flower and table arrangements. And big thank you goes to Kay and her little helpers for allowing us to take advantage of her talent.
You would have noticed, .… Well heard the fantastic music of that the world renown Polglase trio who have traveled the world to play in the halls and churches of Europe and we were lucky enough to have them play for us today, a big thank you goes to those them.
Also I would like to adraw you attention to the wonderful wedding cake over on the table. My amazing sister made that. Thanks sis.
We would also like to thank you all very much for your cards, kind thoughts and wonderful presents.
So here's to all of you who are all very special people, hand picked by us both and may we all have a great evening (CHEERS).
I would also like to thank our parents …
John and Marilyn for welcoming me into Jude's family. Also her sister hasn't yet! Your beautiful daughter is a credit to you both, and I promise to do my best for her, and to be a good husband to her and a good son in law to you. .… Which may involve playing tennis and avoiding sailing trips!
But, I must say – isn't it funny how history repeats itself? The nazi's … bosina could be an example …history is littered with it ..
29 years ago Jude's mum and dad were putting her to bed with a dummy – and now it's happening all over again!
Thanks also to my parents for their support throughout my life, and well I must have to say you have turned out an exceptional Man.
To John, that's not John C, nor John A, nor John B but John D. Gee John is popular tonight? I want to say thank you for being our MC tonight and also for giving your guidance, advice and direction over the years,
but thank god, not in GOLF putting …… how many times does it take to put a small white ball in a hole?
A big thank you goes to our beautiful bridesmaid Rachel. [Ross would say tastie gorgeous] And I have to say that you look lovely today and you have done a wonderful job for my wife today
And So, to my wife, my bride and my joy.
You look stunning tonight … do we all agree? — Well?
I need to start by thanking you for being you and for everything you have done for me.
You know everything about me including my RAPSHEET [thanks Simon for removing btw] and still love me just the same.
I know I have my faults, yet you still agreed to marry me. I am extremely lucky today to be the one to marry you – and I hope this is the start of many more happy years together
They say being a best man is like snogging the queen mother…it's an honour but nobody wants to do it!!
Well now I could stand up here and give you a load of stale old jokes, but I'm going to leave that to the best men.
I would like to propose a toast to everyone here tonight on behave of my wife and I, for a prosperous, rewarding year and good health.
