I'd like to start by thanking Dennis for his kind words. I hope that, as Joanne's husband, I can live up to the image he painted of me or, failing that, at least continue to keep pulling the wool over his eyes!
My speech today will be like a mini-skirt.…

Long enough to cover the essentials ..… and short enough to hold your attention!

Can I just say that we will be raising our glasses for a number of toasts so if some of the drinkers in the room could sip rather than gulp that'd be great.

Apparently it's my job to do all the thank-you's, so on behalf of my lovely new wife and I, the biggest thank-you goes to all of you for coming. The day would not have been the same without you and neither would my bank balance!

I have been accused of being a tight so and so, however I don't know where I've got that reputation from. But if you could please remember to pour any unwanted wine back into the bottle and uneaten food back onto the table that'd be great I'd like to thank Dennis and Irene for their help with the wedding and also for raising such a wonderful daughter and especially Irene for raising a daughter that can sew an excellent quality in a woman! I'd like to thank my Mother for her help and for bringing me onto this planet to enjoy this day.

I'd also like to take time to thank a few people that without their help this wouldn't have happened today.

Firstly to Sharon who has help in organising has meant this day has been such a special day. We both really appreciate all your help with the arrangements. But I will say that after the wedding if you come within 100 yards of the house I'll get a restraining order against you.

Secondly I would like to thank Janine for her help in compiling and printing the order of service.

Last but by no means least I would like to Joan for the wonderful cake that she has made, I'm sure you'll all agree she has done an amazing job.

I know that there are a lot of people that would've wanted to be here but for various reasons couldn't make it. Although not here in person we know they are here in spirit. Can I ask you all to raise your glasses to absent friends and family.

I'd like to say a few words about my lovely wife Joanne without her I wouldn't be here today I'd still be in Valencia sat outside a bar on my stag do.

No all joking aside as most of you will know I'm not a soppy git but I'm sure you'll agree how beautiful she looks today and I do feel like a very lucky man to be marrying Joanne today. I really do feel very proud and honoured to call myself her husband and at this moment in time feel like a very lucky man.

I'd also like to thank Joanne for all her hardwork which without this day would never have gone so well.

May we raise a toast to Joanne

The contribution of our beautiful bridesmaids Ashleigh and Sascha cannot go without a mention. I would also like to thank our three handsome sons for their jobs as ushers and page boy.

Will you join me in raising a toast to them all.

Don't worry not much more from me now! I'd like to thank Paul my best man for all of his help and for being such a good mate. I've known Paul for many years and he truly is one of lifes good guys. However being a good guy doesn't mean that he can dress himself as he demonstrated in the suit hire shop when he got into a fight with a cravat and a shoe horn..I'll let him tell you the story!

I have to thank Paul for getting here on time as Paul is to timekeeping as the Queen is to shopping at Primark..he doesn't do it! . It's nice to see Paul so smart thankfully the suit shop pressed his suit because Paul's Mum showed him how to use an Iron…she just never showed him how to plug it in.

I'm sure that won't bother Paul as if he was anymore laidback he'd be mistaken as deckchair and a holidaymaker would put a towel on him!

Before I hand you over to Paul I'd just like to say that I have a request for the Dj and that is that all Microphones are hid from Betty, because if I hear Running bear or Your cheating heart I will be calling the Police!
