Guys don't be nervous about the Wedding day, you are about to experience what will probably be the best day of your life - I know it sounds cheesy but it really is one amazing day that you will remember for your whole life. Hope my speech helps. I also adlibbed a little at the end just to say thanks to the staff (waiters, wedding planner etc..) who had worked very hard and done a wonderful job. Best of luck guys. Ladies, Gentlemen, family, friends, freeloaders and pikeys, on behalf of my wife and I, thank you all for joining us today to celebrate our marriage.

It's a privilege to be in the company of so many people that are important in our lives and we're delighted to welcome you here to share our special day with us. It's great to see you all and I can honestly say it would not be the same without you.

Now it's not often you get to marry your best friend, well today, that's exactly what I'm doing. They say you don't marry someone you can live with – you marry the person who you can't live without, and I think you'll agree that sums me up perfectly.

Clearly events  like today don't just happen, My wife and I have been planning today for almost 12 months……well I say my wife and I….hmmm…..more so Sidonie, and what a fantastic job she's done; her creative flair, attention to detail and notwithstanding hard work has brought us this beautiful day that will always be remembered.

Sidonie and I first met back in March 2002; I was absolutely smitten as soon as she said hello! How I managed to get a date with her I'll never know, nevertheless we lived in each other's pocket for almost a year but then found we needed to experience the world as individuals.

10 years later whist out in Lancaster I saw Sidonie for the first time since we parted, I was taken back to the first time we met; that feeling of overwhelming excitement, I just had to go over to say hello, we embraced each other with a hug and the world seemed to vanish….and as they say; the rest is history, a romantic tail that I will always remember, and I look forward to adding to it every day for the rest of my life.

Sidonie, thank you for agreeing to marry me. I love you very much and look forward to the rest of our lives together. You are beautiful, intelligent, kind and caring. I feel incredibly proud to call you my wife. And with that, Ladies and gentlemen please be upstanding, I would like to propose a toast: To Sidonie.

Thanks to the Parents

Of course I haven't just gained a wife today, but also an extended family. I would like to thank them for the kindness they have shown me and for welcoming me in. Most of all, thank you to Davie & Julie for giving me your blessing to marry your treasured daughter. I'm so pleased to be your son-in-law. As a token of my esteem, I would like to give you these flowers.

I would also like to thank my parents for their constant support and endless love. You're always there for me and I am truly grateful for that. You've welcomed Sidonie into our family with open arms and I know you've grown to love her dearly. As a token of our appreciation, my wife and I would like to give you these flowers.

Thanks to the Girls

I would like to say a big thank you to the Girls who have helped make today such a glorious success. Your reading was really heartfelt and the venue we stand in today looks absolutely perfect thanks to your help. And of course not forgetting the many Hen do's Sidonie had to enjoy! Thank you so, much your friendship means a great deal to us. So on that note, Ladies and gentlemen, please be upstanding, I would like to propose a toast to the girls: To the girls.

Thanks to the Dudes

Last but not least, I would like to say a big thank you to my team of best men! Ash, the Stag do was immense, you single handily organised a motley crew of 14 and delivered a Stag do that by far exceeded my greatest expectations. Which reminds me, if anyone needs a bottle opener, Robs your man (just watch for splinters).

Jon, Dan thank you so much for your kind words, I knew I could count on you both to add a little spark to the day. So for our final toast of my speech, Ladies and gentlemen, please be upstanding, I would like to propose a toast to the Dudes: To the Dudes.
