Ladies and gentlemen, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for all coming tonight. I am as I await your sigh of relief not going to be doing a long speech. It should merely take an hour. Actually these are not my notes. They are a list of things that Carolyn had me do over the past week.

There are however a few very important things that I would like to say. I know that many of you have traveled a great distance at great expense to be here and we really appricate it. We really wanted to say thank you.

To Max and Julie you brought my beautiful wife into this world and I thank you. Thank you for having Carolyn and thank you Max for convincing me to marry her!!! Your kind bank deposit had no influence on me what so ever. Actually when I first asked Max for Carolyn's hand in marriage he replied YES, Yes Martin providing it is the hand that keeps her from my wallet. No doubt Max and Julie, you are breathing a sigh of relief today.
I also want to say thanks for making this day possible. Without your support this day would not have been possible. I truly want to tell you how delighted I am to have you as my mother and father in law. The way that you have treated me has made me feel very much a part of your family.

To my Mum, thanks for having me. And thanks for the support that you have given us tonight. As we go through life we often take those who are close for granted and we lose sight of those that have supported us. Mum I want to take this opportunity to say that I love you and that I appreciate all that you have done over the years. Thank you Mum.

I would like to say something to the gentlemen that are standing beside me today. Carl is a really really nice bloke”…who would never say anything embarrassing about me in his speech… Let me assure you in that all the good stuff's true but for anything else, Carl is a gifted Liar, I wasn't even there, in fact I hardly know him.

But I do know these guys well, Carl since I was 6 and David since I was 15. We have grown up together over the years I can honestly say that you cannot get better friends such as these. You have always been there for me through thick and thin and I really want to say thank you!

No wedding is complete without Beautiful bridesmaids. Nikki and Chrissie, you have been awesome to Carolyn especially over the past weeks. We really appreciate that and we really want to thank you for the hard work that you have put into tonight. I would also like to say how gorgeous you are looking with this in mind can everyone stand and join me in toasting the bridesmaids. – To the Bridesmaids!

I now come to the most important person in my life.

Some of may think that I took my time getting around to marriage but lets face it when you see someone that is beautiful, loving and caring the wait is worth it.

Carolyn my gorgeous and darling wife thanks for marrying me. I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you. From the day I first met you I knew that I would marry you! From the day you first wore my red pajamas, I knew we were made for each other.

I have something that I would like to share with you. It is something for us to keep and remember this day by and it is the way I feel about you.
