Ladies and Gentlemen you are about to witness a unique event in History. This is the very first and very last that my wife is going to let me speak on behalf of both of us.

Before I start I have to ask .… Do you like my outfit?.… You see, I asked the tailor for Versace..… But he thought I said “liberace.”

Ladies and Gentlemen, friends, relatives, and any stray golfers, who may have wandered in to be nosy. if raining to wandering to keep out of the rain.
Wishing that they were invited to.

I hope that you are enjoying yourself on this special day. It's great to see you all, and I can honestly say it would not have been the same without you all here, however it would also have been a lot cheaper without you, but that's beside the point.

Now I'm not going to stand here and give you a load of stale old jokes, instead I am going to leave that to the best man.
We'd like to thank my new Father-in law for his kind words and good wishes.

On behalf of my wife and myself we would like to thank you all for the lovely presents and lovely cards, and thank you all for being here today on this very special day. We appreciate it very much.

We would like to thank both my parents, Rosa and Americo, for the love, care, and support, they have shown me throughout my life, always being there for me through good and bad. I would not have been able to achieve what I have achieved if it wasn't for them. They are both wonderful people and they have always encouraged me, and they have always wanted the best for me, and I feel proud and happy to stand here today. I thank them both for their good wishes for my future and that of my wife.

We would both like to thank my Father in law and Mother in law Gino and Gloria for all the support, and help they have given us in preparing for this big day. I personally wish to thank them for the greatest thing of all, for creating a lovely, beautiful daughter, who I am going to spend the rest of my life with. I also wish to thank them for accepting me as part of their family
and being happy for me that I am marrying their daughter.

Now for a few words of wisdom, it is said that you do not marry someone you can live with, you marry the person you cannot live without, which is very true with Rosella. Rosella you are beautiful, I love you so much, you make me so happy, that I would not be able to live without you. You are the light of my life. As the music lyrics from the song ‘Follow me’ by Uncle Kracker says ‘You swim through my veins like a fish in the sea.’

However, I have been told from various sources that married life is very frustrating. In the first year of marriage the man speaks and the woman listens. In the second year, the woman speaks and the man listens. In the third year they both speak and the neighbours listen.

We thank all five bridesmaids, Rosanna, Daniela, Sarah, the maid of honour, Samanda, and Martina, who look all absolutely stunning. We thank both ushers Sergio, and Bene, and Paolo my best man, who have all done a good job, in helping things run smoothly here today. Things would not have been the same without them.

It feels like the Oscar awards ceremony this.

We thank Riccardo, the page boy, and Alessia the flower girl for being cute, and looking the business in their outfits, and for helping, and being part of the bridal party.

I am going to stop talking soon, as I can imagine that Paolo my best man is getting impatient to make his speech….Now many people don't know that Paolo suffers from a rare medical condition, which causes him to invent fanciful stories. He really does believe these stories to be true and I thank you for humouring him during his speech.

Before I pass you over to my best man, Ladies and Gentlemen I now wish to take this opportunity on behalf of myself and my wife to hand over some gifts to the bridesmaids, the ushers, the page boy, and the flower girl as a thank you for their help and support and being part of the bridal party.
