Camera's
Before I start with y thank you's I trust you have noticed the cameras on your tables? If you haven't already feel free to take photo's. It's probably a good idea to take them early on as you won't be able to focus later when the drinks start to flow, and to my friends one hairy backside looks pretty much like each other so no moonies please.
Claire
On behalf of my beautiful wife, I would like to thank you all for coming along today and sharing this special day with us and a huge thank you for all the presents we have received.
I would like everybody here, especially Claire to know how lucky & proud I am to be standing here today speaking to you as her husband. Claire my wife “Mrs. Gardiner is beautiful, caring, intelligent, charming & sorry Claire what's that word say I can't read your writing. Seriously though I am overwhelmed at how beautiful she looks and cant believe how lucky I am that she has chosen me as her husband.
I am amazes to see Claire smiling & enjoying herself as she has been so stressed organising what you will all agree so far has been a wonderful day, she has not only had the stress of changing job (I am still not got over the fact there is no more free beer) she has had to take on the job of wedding planner and has organised today almost single handed.
I was going to create a poem for today describing all the loves of my life so everybody would know how truly happy I am but unfortunately I couldn't get Claire, Liverpool & Beer to rhyme. But what I will say is the last 5 years have been the best of my life & I wake up every day & see Claire & feel like I've won the lottery.
Parents
I'd like to thank Kate & Richard for everything they have done for me especially for making me feel so welcome into the family I promise to take good care of Claire & of course to do everything that she tells me to do. I am not saying she is bossy but I know my place.
I'd also like to thank my mum & dad. You have given me the best upbringing imaginable and show me the best example of how to make a marriage successful. You have seen me through my school and college days, you've seen me through my Kevin the teenager years (some say I am still in them) and given me such a wonderful start.
Flowers
For Mum & Kate we have a small gift as a token of our affection & gratitude for you both
I'd like to thank Carrie – Anne & Kirsty for delivering the readings so eloquently & for Carol & her team at whitlebury for organising such a wonderful day.
Bridesmaid
A final and big thank you goes to our bridesmaid Lindsay, I think you will all agree she looks lovely today & thank you for doing such a wonderful job in helping Claire to prepare for today please accept this token of out appreciation.
So if you would all be upstanding and join me in a toast to the bridesmaid..… the bridesmaid.
My final thank you is to Matty for being my best man. They say being a best man is like snogging the queen, a great honour but nobody wants to do it. Thanks for all your helping organising such a great stag do I'm told I enjoyed it enormously. I should perhaps just mention that Matthew suffers from a rare medical condition, which makes him prone to embellishment. He often invents the most fanciful stories which he sincerely believes to be true I hope you bear this in mind when he stands up to speaking a minute. I could stand here all-day and go &on telling stale joke after stale joke, but I'll leave that to the best man. Ladies & Gentlemen I give you Matthew (go easy mate).
