Groom Speech Examples

Speech went over better than I thought and thankfully didn't have to use a microphone!

I was very nervous about the whole speech from writing it to delivering it but this website helped loads.I used examples from samples and also used my own ideas to complete the speech.

My speech in the form of a poem went down well. A poem gets to the point quickly and holds the audience's attention.  If you cho0se to present your speech in the form of a poem there may be a few verses you could borrow, but in the main this poem is personal to me, which is one of the most important aspects of it.   I found this site useful in reaearching ideas for a speech. The first verse for example seems to be a commonly used gag - but a good opener just the same, but most of the poem came from my own experience.  Good luck with your speech!  And all the best for your wedding, and marriage

Tips for delivery: 1.) Stand behind your chair. If you get nervous, you may shake sightly. You'll be able to rest your hands on the back to make this less obvious. 2.) Practise. Find a group of close friends / family and practise as much as you can. The first few times will be a mess, trust me it gets easier the more you do this.

Guys don't be nervous about the Wedding day, you are about to experience what will probably be the best day of your life - I know it sounds cheesy but it really is one amazing day that you will remember for your whole life.
