I'd like to start by thanking everyone here on behalf of my wife and I for all your kind wishes, cards and presents.
Jade and I have been worrying about this day for weeks and it means a great deal to us that you all managed to make it. We hope you are all having a great time. Thank you for sharing our special day.
My greatest fear about today, other then the contents of Jamie's speech, was making my own. As most of you witnessed at the engagement party, I'm a man of few words, and even fewer lines, although I believe my performance wasn't as bad as my mothers, ( I apologise again ) but since she isn't gracing us with a speech today, I saw the need to bring mine up to par, so I worked endlessly on a speech witch if I do say so myself was pretty good, but because Jade and I are married now she just gave me the new one.
We would like to thank both sets of parents, firstly Jades Father, Ian for his many, many, many, many kind words, giving as a place to stay while we are starting our life together, Jades Mother, Tanya for picking up the tab for this wonderful reception, and both of you for allowing me to marry your first daughter.
My mother Roybn for carting me around when needed, and for hosting the girls honeymoon party, I would also like to say thank you now to my father Geoff, for his gift of the honeymoon, he unfortunately couldn't make it here today, my stepfather Brett who asked me a question which after dwelling on for some time brought me to asking Jade to be my wife.
Thank you to all five parents for your love and support over the years. For all the advice you have given us. We would like to thank them all for putting up with us and pointing us in the right direction.
Also we'd like to say thank you to Babs and Bob for there contributions and also a special thanks to Babs from Jade for listening to all her worries and all the advice you have given her
I think I also owe thanks for teaching me how to tie a tie.
Thank you to therase for all your help, we can't thank you enough, I don't think there is one part of the wedding that you haven't helped with, without you the day would not have been possible, Thank you.
Both of us would like to thank David, for all of my family he's the guy that's been walking around all day with a camera stuck to his face, thank you for taking the time for this small production, we are very grateful.
We would also like to thank Kathy, you did the work no one else wanted to do, and prepared sixty little cake boxes, and they look great.
And thank you to lara whose job it was to make Jade and the bridesmaids look so beautiful, we can only imagine how much hard work it was…
… No, but truthy don't they all look gorgeous? Let's have a round of applause for the bridesmaids, Larni, Nicole, and Amy, the three hardest working bridesmaids in the room. No really you've all done a fantastic job
Only two left now, Jamie, the best man I could find for the job, I have known Jamie for the last six years, I believe, and I just want to say thanks mate, now he will soon have to get up and give his speech, I just wanted to say, don't worry about it most of us here have already seen you make a fool of your self in public.
Lastly but not lestly I would like to thank for the first time my wife, Jade, Thank you so much for saying "I do" I have no idea what I would have done if you hadn't. Many people have told me how lucky I am to be marrying Jade, including Jade, Indeed I am lucky, to have a wife that is so beautiful, intelligent, witty, loving, caring.… The list goes on and on, but I can't read her writing very well, will you all please raise yourselves and your glasses to "Jade my wife, my pride and joy"
