Thank You John for those kind words.

I owe you a pint!

Friends… Family… Freeloaders and pikeys!

Before I start… I would like everyone here, especially my new bride, to know how lucky and proud I am to be standing here speaking to you as her husband.

So, on behalf of my wife and I

Thank you for joining us to on our special day, it means so much to us to have you all here, many of you have travelled a great distance to be here today and some have come all the way from America, and some even travelled north and crossed the border! It wouldn't have been the same without you. And thank you for all the cards, gifts, help and support you have given us.

Ok ladies and gents, before I go on….

there is going to be a few toasts in my speech so no downing it all in the one go…..

Unfortunately there are a few people who could not be here. Bailey and Roxy (our dogs) are in the kennels today but I'm sure their thoughts are with us!

Seriously though, a few people I'd like to mention – Isobel, Jack and Molly & Matt, I'm sure they are looking down on us now with smiling faces.

So if you would raise your glasses…..

To absent friends and family

John and Caroline, all the love and support you have shown me –

And all the dinners you have fed me

Has definitely made me feel like a part of your family from day one and I have never had a chance to thank you properly – so thank you.

I'd also like to thank you for raising such a beautiful, intelligent and sometimes stubborn daughter, and of course for allowing me to have her hand in marriage.

Alan, You are always there to help us in whatever way you can, even if it just to listen to Heather have a moan about something – or someone! Or helping us to completely remodel our garden, and all you asked for in return was a few cups of tea, well, a few hundred! Thank you

And now to the other Mr and Mrs Livingstone — Mum and dad,

Thank you for welcoming Heather into the family and for not scaring her away. Thank you for all the love, support, and patience you have always shown me, and for all the help you have given us over the last few years.

If you would raise your glasses,

TO THE PARENTS

Gift

Heather, Thanks for coming today – it wouldn't have been the same without you!

I'm sure you will all agree that Heather looks absolutely stunning.

Thank you for everything you have done. You know everything about me, even the really bad stuff, and love me just the same.

You are smart, amazing, beautiful and talented, and you always find a way to make me smile. Thank you for marrying me.

And your shoes are nice!

For the last two years a great deal of blood, sweat and tears have went into planning this day.

Now we will have to find something else to occupy our time, Mum, Caroline, calm down –

There's plenty of time for grandweans! I meant bingo or something!

James… when it came to choosing my right hand man, there was only one person I could think of, but he said no when found out it was boot camp on x factor tonight! So I asked you instead.

Only joking, you were definitely the best man for the job.… see what I did there.… “Best man” for the job!

And what a job you did sorting out the stag night, the paintballing was amazing although I couldn't walk for a week afterwards! And then at night, well….the less said the better.

I couldn't ask for a better big brother or best man.

Although I'll confirm that once I've heard your speech.

Darren and Greg, our ushers. You boys should be bouncers! I've heard how you were searching handbags and frisking people before they got on the bus! And I've not saw any photographer's from ‘OK‘ magazine anywhere! Thanks for all the hard work guys.

If you would raise your glasses    TO THE BOYS

Donna, Karen, Caitlin and Siobhan, the bridesmaids and Hannah our wee flower girl. Thanks for making sure Heather got here in one piece! And trying to keep her sane over the last few months, I'm not saying you were successful but thanks anyway! And I must say ladies you all look beautiful today!

Once more if you would raise your glasses TO THE GIRLS

Gift

And I'd like to finish with a big thank you to Mr Foxon for such a wonderful service, and to Robert, Mary Anne and all the staff at the castle who have helped make today so special for us.

Thanks!
