Firstly I'd like to thank Sean for his very kind words but before I start I think it's worth mentioning that there are going to be several toasts during the next few minutes so please could you all ensure your glasses are charged and ready to go.

I'd like to start by welcoming all of our guests today; we're thrilled that you're all here to share this very special day with us. However, as with all occasions such as this there are those we wish could be with us today who are not. So could I ask all our guests to join with Amy and I by standing to toast those who are ‘Gone but not forgotten’.

TOAST – GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

It makes me the happiest man alive to be able to stand here today and say, ladies and gentlemen, friends and family on behalf of my wife and I, welcome to our wedding, and thank you sincerely for sharing this special day with us. It really wouldn't be the same without you, it would be hell of a lot cheaper but it wouldn't be the same so thank you.

Parents: Firstly I would like to say a special thank you to both Sean & Catherine and Cathy & Mark for accepting me in to their family and for bringing up such a lovely daughter and thank you all for making me feel so welcome, you have made it very easy for me to fit in and also a big thank you for all your help in putting this special day together, we couldn't have done it without you. I hope I can be everything you want from a son-in-law and more, I won't let you down.

I also can't let today go by without thanking my Mum & Dad for bringing me into the world and for all the love and support you have showered me with over the years. You have made me what I am today and I know that has to make Amy happy because she agreed to marry me, so, I hope I have made you both proud and I love you both dearly.

So Ladies and Gentlemen would you please join me in standing to raise a toast to Family-

TOAST – TO FAMILY & Gifts for Cathy, Catherine & Mum

Bridesmaids, Ushers & Flower Girls: Now on to the bridesmaids, Gemma, Nikki and Karen, you all look beautiful today and I'm sure everyone here would agree! Thank you for all the love and support you have given Amy over the years, and especially for keeping her calm over the last 24 hours or so and also for making sure she didn't change her mind, Thank you all very much.

So if the three bridesmaids could come up here please we have a few little gifts for you.

Also I'd like to say a very special thank you to our three gorgeous flower girls Scarlett, Millie and Freya, you've all done a tremendous job with no drama's and made us all very proud of you and finally not forgetting Jenson who I have to say is looking incredibly dapper and very smart and I'm sorry mate I know you were a bit outnumbered by all the girls but you done a great job.

I also want to thank the ushers, Ben, Joe & Eddie for their help today.

Amy: Right well I suppose I should say a few words about the lady to my left the star of the show! Amy Sara Kennedy’ my Wife!

We first met in 2005 whilst working at House of Fraser, I was 25, Amy was 18, gorgeous and blonde and needless to say I was attracted to her straight away. She was obviously and completely way out of my league but I got her number, we had a few dates, had a few holidays, moved in together after 2yrs and the rest is history,’ but I have to be honest and say today Amy you look simply stunning I have never seen you look as beautiful as you do right now and I think everyone here will agree you do look truly incredible and it is an honour for me to say you are my Wife, and ‘I will always love you’. Now when I sat down in work and started writing my speech about 3 months ago I didn't know where to start, I didn't wanna just stand up here and reel off a load of borrowed quotes from Google but that's all I could think of to do. However, there is one quote I'd like to finish with. And it's very special to me because it's actually something Scarlett said when she was just 3 yrs old but I'll never forget it. One night I took her to bed and read a couple of stories and then for some reason I just thought if I asked her some pretty deep philosophical and profound questions what would she say. I don't know why I thought that but I did, cuz I'm weird, so anyway I asked her a few things and the final question I asked her was ‘What is love, what do you think love is?’ and so she thought for a couple of seconds and then she quite simply said ‘Love is when you kiss someone on the lips, but true love is when they're in your heart’. And that was it, she left me speechless tbh, and now I'm the happiest and luckiest man in the world cuz I've got 3 beautiful girls in my heart and i think that's enough for any man to handle. I'm not having any more, we've agreed that haven't we? Yeah, just checking.

Now I'll hand you over to Tom, the best man ladies and gentleman………… but before I do that there is one more thing I've got up my sleeve. Just a little surprise for you, I've written a little song for you, well more of a poem really.

Ok, Good. I wrote this in work one day in about two hours, and it's called Amy's song. Catchy title, kept it simple.

Amy's song:

I love the way you raise our girls to always eat their greens, I love the way you make the tea I love your leather jeans I love checking out your curvy bum whenever you're not looking I love the way we spoon in bed I also love your cooking I'll never forget our first date and also our first kiss, It was amazing; I went home and crossed it off my bucket list I love going to the beach with you and walking on the pier In fact I love you so much that I'll let you have my beer I love the way you smile with a sparkle in your eye I loved the way you helped me learn how to tie a tie You've always been there for me and I'll never let you go Cuz you're the best thing that's ever happened to me and that I know fo'sho So here it is our wedding day, we're now husband & wife I'm so happy that you said yes because you now complete my life You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen and that I know is true I can think of nothing better than spending the rest of my life with you But joking aside I love you more than words could ever say And I really hope you enjoy everything on our incredible wedding day So make the most and raise a toast to family and true love Cuz you've always been the girl for me, you fit me like a glove.
