Our Favourite Line: “Nicole and I have been friends since our freshmen year in high school. We were on the same soccer and swimming team. Well, I didn’t really swim with the team per se, I was the one who recorded the times for all the swimmers.”
Hello everyone! I want to start off by thanking you all for making the trip from near and far, to celebrate Nicole and Sean’s special day! For those who may not know me, my name is Carolyn. I am the matron of honour and best friend of the bride.
Nicole and I have been friends since our freshmen year in high school. We were on the same soccer and swimming team. Well, I didn’t really swim with the team per se, I was the one who recorded the times for all the swimmers. During our sophomore year, Finding Nemo debuted and I always thought Dora was very similar to Nicole. No, it’s not because of Dora’s short term memory but it’s because Dora was funny, kind to others, talkative and always continued on her path even though she didn’t remember or know what the future holds. When Nicole tells me that she is having a bad day or needs advice, I tell her to “just keep swimming” and everything will be alright.

Nicole has always been a passionate and determined person, and I will never forget the first night that we met Sean. They exchanged words in the stairwell and later she saw him again. She immediately grabbed my arm and asked me to go over to meet this guy with tattoos. After chatting with Sean and drilling him with random, off the wall questions, it seemed to me that he was a sincere yet blunt individual. Later that evening, I told Nicole that she should introduce him to her parents because I thought her dad would like him. And look, my prediction seems to be holding true, he gave Sean permission to marry you.
After a few months of dating, Nicole met Liam for the first time and fell absolutely in love with him. She has always treated him as if he were her own son. And I know Liam appreciates everything she teaches and does for him. Especially, letting him keep soo many reptiles and being able to be a real country boy.
Sean, I am glad Nicole has found her real charming yet country man who can get down and dirty and can tell it as it is. You fit so well with her family and she does with yours. From duck hunting to mummer parades. You both are just meant to be together. Also, she loves your short last name.

Nicole, Sean and Liam are very lucky to have you in their lives. You are always by their side and have continuously supported them. I hope you three continue to fulfil your goals and grow as a family. Also, when trouble arises remember to “just keep swimming, swimming, swimming,” together and forever. I love you three very much and wish you the best.
