Speech by Danielle Booth
When i read this speech it was at my best friend's wedding... It went down very well, and afterwards lots of people complimented me on how nice it was, and that they had never heard anyone mention passing on the best friend status before. It is great to be different if you can be, however it really made me choke up half way through, so if you don't think you can get personal with the speech keep it light hearted. Best of luck, i am sure you will all be fantastic!

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Danni, Charlie's best friend and Maid of Honor.
It is an amazing moment for me to be asked to be Charlie's maid of honor. Charlie and I go way back! We met for the first time in Year 5 at school! yep that's right, all that time ago in 1997, so I think that makes it about 17 years.
I am not going to make this a speech about the life of Charlie and me, but instead let you and Chris know just what he is letting himself in for.
Charlie has been a fantastic friend, to me and many others here. If you had just 5 minutes of time with her you would know she loves to talk, she is smart, pretty, funny, and just a complete pleasure to be around. I love her to bits, but I suppose now that Chris has signed the paperwork and declared to the world that he is willing to love and cherish her, and treat her like a princess for the rest of forever, I suppose it is only right that share the friendship and I give him the honor of the Best friend status.
Charlie has now got her dream boy, who is also someone who she can confide in, and who quote, HAS THE MOST AMAZING ARMS EVER… and who now she can call her husband.
With this said, I came up with some tips for the new Best friend and Husband… trust me, they will keep you safe at night.
– Women Lie. It's a fact. So when Charlie says
– I won't be mad – she's lying
– If she says its fine, she's lying.
– When she says you don't have to ask permission to go out with your friends – she's lying
– When she says I want you to be honest with me – she means you now have to lie…
The list could go on forever, and the advice I could give you is lengthy… but instead of telling you what all of the married men in the room already know… the main key rule is that A happy Wife, means a happy Life.
I wish you all the happiness together, and I am so pleased that you are officially Mr and Mrs Miles! I am truly happy for you, and you are a fantastic couple!
Now please, would you all join me in raising a glass to Charlie and Chris.
To love, laughter, and happily ever after. Cheers!
