Our Favourite Line: “First let me say, Ebony, you look absolutely breathtaking. I’m sure Donnie agrees as he can’t take his eyes off you… and Donnie, I’ve never seen you look so handsome.”
Hello! For those of you that don’t know me, I’m Jamie, one of Ebony’s best friends. She told me yesterday that I might have to say a speech so of course, I am very ill-prepared! Please bear with me. I’ll keep it short and sweet and I’ll try not to cry.
I can’t describe how happy I am for them. I’m so glad that we could all be here today to surround Donnie and Ebony with our love and our good wishes for their marriage.
First let me say, Ebony, you look absolutely breathtaking. I’m sure Donnie agrees as he can’t take his eyes off you… and Donnie, I’ve never seen you look so handsome. You guys are a beautiful couple.
So, Ebony and I worked at the same ER a few years back, I randomly invited her out for Belinda’s 30th birthday one year. We became instant friends. Almost like we were never strangers. I call her my soul bestie! Ebony, there really aren’t words to describe the kind of friend you have been to me. I am honoured to call you my best friend.

Ebony is driven, intelligent, and kind-hearted. She puts forth effort and dedication into everything she does, determined to succeed. I know for sure that she will approach her new role as a wife the same exact way. Donnie is also driven, intelligent, and kind. Plus, he has this easygoing, laid back, I-ain’t-got-no-worries, personality.
We all know that Ebony and Donnie are phenomenal individuals. But, together, they are unstoppable. They will have the marriage that everyone hopes for. They truly are a perfect match and I know that they will be able to ride the waves of life together as friends, as soulmates, and as husband and wife.

For those of you who know me, you know that I am such a romantic, and I am always looking for these magical signs that somebody is the one! I knew after their first date that Donnie was the one! So fast forward, of course, I was right, and they now have a beautiful family with two amazing children.
Ebony, I want you to always think back to the powerful prayer Christial sent you this morning. No matter what people have told you about marriage, go into yours with an open mind and an open heart. It won’t always be easy, but it will always be worth it. Be sure to always put God and each other first and everything else will fall into place.
Donnie, today should always be your most wonderful day. Remember that love isn’t perfect. It isn’t a fairytale, and it doesn’t always come easy. Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, and fighting to be together.
Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, and fighting to be together.
I want you both to hold on and never let go. I want both of you to always share your hopes, your dreams, and your fears. Always respect one another. And always be quick to forgive. I hope that you will take these small pieces of advice and remember them throughout the rest of your lives together.
So, with that said, if everyone could please raise their glass, I’d like to propose a toast to the new Mr and Mrs Here’s to love, laughter, and happily ever after. I love you guys!
