Wedding Speeches

Having fully performed my best man duties I thought i would send a copy of my speech, with which i had a great deal of help/ inspiration from your site. The speech went down really well which was especially good as prior to the big day i only knew 5 people including the bride and groom - so it is a speech that can be used when you have no idea what the audience reaction would be to anything crude etc!

Hi, Your sample speeches were are great help when I made this Best Man's speech last year, I'll definately be back next year when I need to make a Groom's speech! One tip for delivering your speech which I found particularly helpful was to hand-write your speech using a different colour pen for each section. I found this very easy to follow and also because I made two or three drafts of the speech I found that when I came to deliver it already knew most of it off by heart. Thanks again Leslie

Hi - I'm Paul Butcher who was the Bestman for my Best friend at his wedding which was conducted on the Saturday just gone (15th May 2004). Hence, as I thought you're website was so helpful with preparing my own speech via reading some of the examples shown, I would like to add my one to these.
