Hello I'd like to thank you for setting up your site. It made a very difficult task much easier, in fact without the example one liners' my speech would not have had half the impact it did. Its a horrible task but when it goes well, its worth all the pain. A lot of people said it was the best best man's speech they've ever heard. Its amazing what a couple of glasses wine can do! My advice is don't blank it, start early, refine and practice lots. Take it slow and enjoy it. You'll only ever do it once! Thanks again Simon Frooms

I must say I found your site extremely good in all departments. I was best man last weekend and felt well prepared with the coming events of the day. The speech went down extremely well and my numerous rehearsals kept me in good stead. It's no good having a great speech if you can't deliver it. I also found the being the Master of Ceremonies also helped - when the time came to give my speech I had already said quite a lot, which allayed my nerves a little. Pete Shore. October 2001.

Well, after a couple of weeks struggling I stumbled across hitched.co.uk and lo and behold a few cut and pastes later I was well on the way to crafting my own speech.There was a bit of plagerism although most was amended slightly some of the gags were too good to dilute and went straight in.....thanks to hitched and to those who supplied the impudus and the not too corny gags i borrowed! my only advice would be to personalise where ever possible and dont get too uptight they really are on your side!!

This is my speech which I wrote 2 days before my mates wedding. I honestly couldn't have done it without hitched.co.uk. I was absolutely amazed by the reaction it got with many people thanking me for such a great speech. I borrowed from a couple of other speeches, so, thank you to whomever I borrowed from.
