Hello, Please find attached a copy of the best man's speech I gave at the celebration of my best mate's wedding. He was married in Florida on the 14th of September, followed by the celebration in Shifnal, Shropshire, on the 22nd of September. As you can see, I used your great site to form the basis of the speech, put together just two days before. Guest's were very kind, and said they liked the speech very much. I am sending you a copy in the hope it made be of some small use to other's. Thanks for all the help. Steve Tilley

Dear Hitched! As promised previously, please find attached my Best Man's speech that went down a treat yesterday afternoon. I spent the rest of the day being congratulated by people on both the Bride & Groom's side... It just doesn't get better than that! Much of my speech was 'borrowed' from previous examples, so a big thank you to all those previous contributors. Hope my version may be of some use to someone! I'd like to thank hitched.co.uk for helping me out at a very tough time - who'd a thought speech could be so hard !! I used some of the old jokes off the site and made up some of my own. The speech went down a real storm - I was amazed. People seemed to like the mix of humour and sincerity so maybe you can consider that when writing yours...... TO THOSE WHO CAME BEFORE "Thank you - your inspiration/cheap gags were a great help !" My speech went down a storm, so a massive thank you to Hitched .co.uk and all you guys that submitted yours speeches. Much easier to see real life ones instead of the rubbish you get in some books, that way you can see formats and what will work for you/the audience. I used some of the old jokes but who cares eh, everyone expects that to a certain extent, and as long as there's enough of your own content in there it doesn't matter. Props were are a great help too, and true what they say - after your first laugh it is a hell of a lot easier!

Dear Hitched, Please find attached my best man's speech that I delivered on Saturday 22nd September 2001. Your site came in most useful as the groom was my uncle and due to this I did not have any schoolboy tales to deliver!
