Dear Hitched
This is the speech I wrote, and presented at the wedding of my friend, Stephen, to Liza on 8th August 1998. I found your pages to be the most useful of those visited on the www, so I thought I might be of some help to someone else when writing their speech!

Cheers hitched.co.uk for your help, it's only taken me three years to say that, as I gave this speech back in August 1998!!

Hitched!
I delivered this speech at my brothers wedding in August. Not only was it my first time as bestman, it was my first wedding. So your web page was invaluble, seeing other examples was really helpful in putting it together. It seemed to go down a storm, lots of congratulations afterwards, from what I can remember... I was pretty drunk before the speech, but I remember little afterwards! I realized they where going to put the video camera plus stage light right infront of me during the speech, so I downed the best part of a bottle of wine during dessert!
Cheers

Dear Hitched
Thanks for all your help. Your site was invaluable.
My speech went great!
Best Man Speech Examples
Dear Hitched
This is the best man speech I gave at my mate Greg's wedding a couple of weekends ago. I made sure I only had the one drink beforehand so I was on the money, I think that's a good tip, although it's tempting to get sloshed you have to be sober to give the best delivery. Anyway the drink after the speech was over was one of the best I've tasted!!
I hope you find it useful.
Kind regards

It went down a stormer, which is great as I was able to bask in the glory of it all afterwards. I was terrified until I stood up because I hadn't practiced much, but then the nerves just went once I started. Whiskey and coke, or six of them, also helps!
Cheers,
Ed Miller
