Wedding Speeches

What can say but this speech went down very well, when the guests said to me after wards it was a excellent speech I didnt beleive them till I got home and the wife had told me she'd video it, after watching it 4 times the guests were right as they laughed with me and not at me thank god.   ps i never want to do that again once in a life time is a enogth for me lol

I was terrifed about doing this speech, but a best friend does what they have to :) Here are some tips that worked for me that may help you... massive font and double spacing so you dont skip over words, stage directions written in reminding yourself to look up at who you are talking to, and whilst standing there and you are struggling, actually take a breath! Sound ridiculous but it slows you down and it actually gives you alot more control over what your saying... literally a couple of seconds is all you need now and again, just to compose your self, once I told myself that that was okay to

Left a few things out and also added a few things last minute - if you do dont forget to write them down/cross them out! And if anything happens during the speech - let it happen, if you mess up - roll with it! Any actions - print out in a different colour so you aren't tempted to say them!!

I wanted something simple, and didn't want to try to make it too funny, incase it wasn't! It went well, I delivered it better than I thought I would and everyone said it was lovely, so all good :)

Being A Best Woman is not very traditional and it can be difficult to find the right tone for the speech. I was Dreading this moment for soooo long! But it was ok. Actually nearly cried when I read the part about my Mum!  Also, about the speech itself, I spent so long on hitched reading the other speeches and they were a massive inspiration.  Hope mine will be the same to any other worried grooms! Mine's done! Time for yours!! It'll be ok...trust me!
