Wedding Speeches

It went very well, everyone loved it

Read my speech from my iPad which sounds like a good idea but I wish I'd stuck to the traditional idea of writing down the speech on paper or better still small cards. It can't have looked when everyone in the room is staring at you while you're squinting at a screen trying to make sure you havn't missed anything!

Not exactly a best man speech.  Speech was for very good. long time friends at a small civil ceremony.  I wanted to offer someting to bind us all together, so its a sort of witness declaration or vow.  I am putting it here in the hope that it may help and inspire others.

It was a fabulous hot sunny day at Highcliffe Castle, for the marriage of Elise Brockhurst and Alan Hayter.  And it was a tremendous honour to be asked to be one of Alan's Best Men.  A special mention should go to Alan's son Chandler, as the other Best Man, who's starring moment in the speech I cocked up, but everything ended up fine in the end. What a fantastic day!!

Simple and sweet speech

Never easy to compose and make any speech, but with the help of hitched.co.uk and a few of my own thoughts this speech seemed to cover all the main areas with a bit of humour and humility and thankfully it went down really well on the day.
