Fantastic website for speech ideas!

"At every wedding I go to, I can't wait for the speeches and I'm usually the one filming and sobbing with the tissue. Hopefully not on this occasion."

I got a lot of help from this site and thought I had submitted my speech to try and assist others. I am back again due to my second daughter’s wedding in September.  I found that making an A4 sheet of paper into two columns and printing on both sides and allowed the speech to be on one sheet of paper that I could fold in half instead of one large page. It worked for me.  

This site helped me and I hope it helps you. My speech was based on this site but some of the sentiment came from me. The pointers given were invaluable.

HI, this speech is very specific. It is aimed towards a bride that is a ballet dancer and teacher by profession.  I hope this helps someone.

I’m not a public speaker by any standard, but I actually really enjoyed delivering this on the day. My tip for anybody currently in the writing phase, try and make the beginning paragraph(s) as easy to deliver as possible, because as soon as I stood up it suddenly became rather difficult to remember, regardless that I could easily at home. The George Clooney reference is from a had cuff prank on the stag do. It would of been a fairly in-joke to use on the day, if it wasn’t for it circling rather quickly before the speeches.

I'd just like to say that looking at this website really helped me get some inspiration and ideas for my speech when my mind went blank. It is not an easy task putting a best man speech together that is good and delivering it. I have uploaded my speech because I hope that my example here too gives inspiration and helps other best men compile an excellent speech too. I don't care how many stars you give me. I just hope that my example is a great help to other people doing the same thing for their best friends, brothers etc. Whoever you are reading this passage. I wish you good luck delivering y

Groom roasts the best man and does the "absent friends toast"Best man pauses his speech to go to the toilet. (actually goes down really well and then proceeds to fully roast the groom)Pictures were done on powerpoint using hotels projector and a cheap maplin presentation fob used to work the laptop, went really well.

Went down a storm. I memorised the first short paragraph, so no notes were needed initially, I think this helped the speech get of to a good start and would recommend it. .
