What does a Toastmaster do?

Think of it as having a ‘Personal Event Manager’. I am there to be highly visible – the red jacket drawing attention to the fundamental ‘Master of Ceremonies’, public-facing role. However, my skills really lie in being ‘behind the scenes’ – ensuring that everything works like clockwork on the day. Allowing you to enjoy the occasion with your family and friends.

My venue says they will manage my event.

Some venues may say that they will offer a hotel manager to fulfil the role of ‘MC’ – announce the entrance of the happy couple at a wedding, introduce the speakers and speeches, say ‘grace’ etc. In reality, hotel managers may have other issues to deal with that are not going to allow them to focus completely on the running of the function. To focus on you.

It’s not their intention, but they may be called away to deal with a hospitality issue elsewhere. However, having a trained professional toastmaster solely focused on delivering the little (and large) details of the carefully planned event takes away all of that concern and worry. I am totally dedicated to you.

How much can I expect to pay?
