Who is Albert?

Albert is Albert Clapham, the uncle of the owners who opened the first Alberts - Alberts Shed in Castlefield in Manchester in 2004. Alberts Shed was built on the site of the shed used by Uncle Albert to store his tools during the conversion of Dukes 92 in the early 90s. He agreed to move out as long as the restaurant was named after his shed and the name is still with us!

Facilities and Capacity

Weddings at Albert’s Standish can be tailor-made and designed especially for you. There are three spaces available, including the Library, the Drawing Room, and the Almond Room. Each event space is fully licensed for your ceremony. The Library is the most intimate room available. It can accommodate up to 40 for a seated wedding breakfast, up to 50 for a wedding ceremony, and up to 50 for a drinks reception. Larger gatherings can be held in the Drawing Room. It comfortably accommodates up to 80 for a seated wedding breakfast, up to 100 for a wedding ceremony, and up to 100 for a drinks reception. The Almond Room is the grandest space and is ideal for bigger gatherings. It fits up to 150 for a seated wedding breakfast, up to 150 for a wedding ceremony and up to 250 for a drinks reception. Each light-adorned room has private terraces to explore and enjoy the outside space.
